We are seeking a talented Operations Specialist to join our Operations team at Marsh, based in Auckland. As an Operations Specialist, you will provide comprehensive administrative and technical support to Client Facing Brokers. Your responsibilities include the accurate, efficient, and timely production of policies and related documentation, ensuring seamless execution of assigned tasks within the insurance broking lifecycle according to agreed standards for time, accuracy, and productivity. This role involves servicing local New Zealand businesses to meet growth targets and service standards, assisting key internal stakeholders, delivering administrative and technical support such as invoicing and updating computer records, developing relationships with internal brokers, and liaising with Underwriters.

Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Operations team at Marsh. This role will be based in our Auckland office.

As an Operations Specialist, you will provide support to Client Facing Brokers in all aspects of administration and technical support through the accurate, efficient, and timely production of policies and related documentation. This role will demonstrate technical proficiency, responsible for completing a defined set of processes and tasks within the end-to-end insurance broking lifecycle, ensuring that processes and tasks assigned to them are completed seamlessly and in line with agreed standards of time to complete, accuracy and productivity.

We will count on you to:

  • Responsible for the servicing of our NZ local businesses ensuring growth targets and service standards are met.
  • Providing assistance in all aspects of client service to key internal stakeholders
  • Delivering accurate, efficient, and timely Administration & Technical support – such as insurance placement documentation, invoicing, updating computer records and premium funding documentation
  • Developing effective working relationships with our internal broker network
  • Gaining exposure to the wider insurance industry via liaising with Underwriters on behalf of the broker network.
  • Actively support and collaborate with colleagues at all levels to achieve the best outcomes for our clients and the Company.

What you need to have: 

  • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Excellent organisation skills – able to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – able to work within a team
  • Comfortable and experience working with technology (solutions)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (or equivalent) – Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Preferable with insurance knowledge
