Oracle OCI Architect (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Expert)

Job Description:

As an OCI Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing mission-critical solutions on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. You will lead cloud migration initiatives, ensure seamless integration with existing systems, and apply best practices to maintain high availability, scalability, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect and Design OCI Solutions:

• Develop scalable and secure cloud architectures using OCI services.
• Design Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), subnets, gateways, and routing policies.
• Implement compute, storage, and database solutions tailored to business needs.

Cloud Migration & Integration:

• Lead complex cloud migration projects from on-premises or other cloud platforms to OCI.
• Ensure minimal disruption and high operational continuity during migrations.
• Integrate legacy systems including JD Edwards EnterpriseOne environments with OCI.

Security & Identity Management:

• Configure and manage IAM domains, users, groups, and compartments.
• Implement IAM policies, dynamic groups, and tag-based access controls.

Performance Optimization:

• Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Use tools like Oracle OS Management Hub for patching and compliance.

JDE CNC Administration:

• Manage JD Edwards EnterpriseOne CNC tasks including package builds, environment setups, and object management.
• Perform system administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for JDE on OCI.
• Coordinate with application teams to support JDE upgrades, patches, and deployments.

Collaboration & Documentation:

• Work closely with DevOps, security, and application teams.
• Document architecture designs, policies, and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Hands-on experience with JD Edwards CNC administration and architecture.
• Strong understanding of:
• Compute, Networking, Storage
• Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Load Balancers, Security Lists, NSGs
• Experience with hybrid and multicloud architectures.
• Familiarity with automation tools and cloud-native services.
• OCI Architect Associate or Professional Certification (2025) preferred.
