Job Description

This role in the Consumer Business Division involves acquiring licenses for Japanese versions of overseas and indie games for domestic publishing. Responsibilities include negotiating with publishers, supporting project launches, managing budgets and schedules, overseeing game localization, and coordinating with sales, promotion, production, and user support teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in the game industry and a passion for PC and console games.
Must have:
  • Acquiring licenses for Japanese versions of overseas and indie games

  • Overseeing game localization (policy, vendor, progress, communication)

Job Details

Overview

This role involves acquiring licenses for Japanese versions of overseas games (and domestic/international indie games) and publishing them domestically within the Consumer Business Division.

Depending on your experience and expertise, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Negotiation for license acquisition with overseas game publishers and development companies
  • Internal project proposal → Project launch (with support from a team manager)
  • Project production budget & schedule management
  • Game localization (policy formulation, vendor selection, production progress, communication with development teams)
  • Coordination with various teams such as sales, promotion, production, and user support

Required Skills

  • Work experience in the game industry
  • Passion for the latest PC and console games
  • Japanese (native language), English (business level)
