Payroll & Subsidy Sr Accountant

This role is for a Payroll & Subsidy Sr Accountant in Kuala Lumpur, responsible for month-end close activities including subsidy income accrual, tariff calculations, and return-to-credits. The position involves account reconciliation, BS reviews, and preparing data for reporting and audits. Candidates should be qualified accountants with at least 5 years of experience, proficient in English and MS Excel, with a preference for multinational company experience and SAP ERP knowledge.

Must Have

• Responsible for month end close activities such as computing and posting subsidy income accrual, tariff calculations, return-to-credits
• Perform account reconciliation and arrange for BS reviews with managers
• Prepare data required for reporting or audit per advice from Subsidy controller
• Preparation of reporting of subsidy to local authorities
• Execute to roles and responsibilities which may be assigned by manager
• Identify simplification, automation and standardisation opportunities
• Qualified accountant (e.g. Bachelor's degree, CA, CPA, ACCA)
• At least 5 years of experience in Accounting
• Proficiency in English
• Excellent MS Excel skills

Good to Have

• Additional languages

Job Qualifications
