Job Summary
Join Activision Blizzard's Accounting Operations team within Finance Operations. This role involves governing accounting operations, partnering with Microsoft/ABK stakeholders and external suppliers to achieve exceptional operational results. You will ensure accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and risk management in financial close, reporting, and audit for over 300 entities. Must Have
- Conduct governance of vendor teams performing Accounting Operations activities.
- Prepare and review financial close journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and other financial reporting.
- Support internal audits, including SOX compliance requirements.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for Canada entities (US GAAP and local GAAP).
- Oversee preparation and filing of corporate income tax, VAT, and other local legal and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate and on-time filing of government tax credit applications.
- Liaise with external tax advisors and local tax authorities.
- Implement and execute standard, global processes for key business activities.
- Manage continuous process improvement and identify process optimization and/or automation opportunities.
- Support local treasury operations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, or related field.
- 2+ years accounting or finance experience (or 1+ year with Master's Degree).
Good to Have
- 5+ years accounting or finance experience (or 3+ years with Master's Degree).
- Professional accounting certification such as CPA or equivalent.
- Accounting close/financial reporting experience.
- Ability to influence without authority and drive accountability.
- Strong collaboration and business partnership skills.

In this Manager, Accounting Operations role, you will be responsible for governance of accounting operations, in partnership with Microsoft/ABK stakeholders and external suppliers, to bring exceptional operational results while delivering against our organization’s top priorities. You will be expected to proactively work toward solutions and help others succeed through cross group collaboration, awareness of others, and adhering to accounting policy and standards centering on timeliness, accuracy, compliance, and risk management. The optimal candidate demonstrates thought-leadership capability and has a proven track record of success in business partnering, ability to manage end-to-end processes, strong collaboration skills, ability to influence, and a strong background in Accounting close and financial reporting activities, including compliance.

Core Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct governance of vendor teams performing Accounting Operations activities, including preparation and review of financial close journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and other financial reporting, in compliance with Microsoft accounting policies and guidelines
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreement (SLAs) metrics for accuracy and compliance
- Support internal audits, including SOX compliance requirements
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for Canada entities in accordance with US GAAP and local GAAP
- Maintain proper documentation and reconciliations for all local accounting records
- Monitor changes in local accounting regulations and assess impact on financial reporting
- Oversee preparation and filing of corporate income tax, VAT, and other local legal and financial reporting
- Ensure accurate and on-time filing of government tax credit applications through coordination and oversight of external consultants
- Liaise with external tax advisors and local tax authorities to ensure compliance and resolve issues
- Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions.
- Assist in tax planning and optimization initiatives
- Implement and execute standard, global processes for key business activities
- Manage continuous process improvement and identify process optimization and/or automation opportunities by evaluating and leveraging technology to enhance internal processes
- Support local treasury operations and help reduce payment issues with external partners

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 2+ years accounting or finance experience
- OR Master's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 1+ year(s) accounting or finance experience
- OR equivalent experience.
