Job Summary
This position is a key role that leads Philips' marketing strategy team for consumer products (e.g., electric toothbrushes, shaver products, etc.) and contributes to brand growth and sales expansion in the Japanese market.
You will be responsible for creating long-term business value by providing and managing Superior Propositions or Superior Presence in the market for specific target segments (consumers/buyers and professionals) and companies.
This role aims to create demand and enhance brand power by utilizing consumer and market intelligence and insights.
You will primarily dedicate time to strategic marketing activities, introducing and adapting global integrated innovation and communication roadmaps to region-appropriate strategies, and guiding the localization of global content.
Main Job Responsibilities
As a Marketing Team Manager, you will primarily lead the following tasks:
- Formulation and execution of product innovation and communication strategies based on global strategies.
- Analysis of the consumer experience journey and setting marketing goals.
- Designing product value propositions in collaboration with R&D.
- Formulation of product portfolio strategy and pricing strategy, and ensuring financial sustainability.
- Maintaining consistency in brand positioning and visual identity.
- Localization of global strategies and local media response.
- Collection and utilization of consumer, market, and competitor insights.
- Analysis of market results and adjustment of marketing strategies.
- Execution of measures in collaboration with relevant internal departments.
- Formulation and execution of shopper marketing strategies.
- Management of advertising and promotion expenses (A&P) and formulation of business plans (optimal allocation by on-vs-off channel and media).
- Setting and measuring business KPIs and marketing KPIs for each campaign.
- Efficient and effective production of POP/catalogs and maximization of in-store deployment.
- Formulation of channel strategies and promotion of distribution by retailer in collaboration with the sales team.
Required Experience for this Position:
Experience
- Marketing and people management experience in the consumer goods (FMCG) industry or home appliance industry (managing product marketing, media marketing, trade shopper marketing).
- Practical experience in product launch, brand strategy, and consumer insight analysis.
- Experience working with global brands is welcome.

- Work Style: Hybrid (3 days office attendance per week, up to 2 days remote work possible).
- Holidays: Every Saturday (scheduled holiday), Sunday (legal holiday), national holidays, New Year holidays (December 29 - January 4).

- Salary: Base salary annual income 10 million JPY or more; considered based on experience.
- Bonus: Incentive 20%.
