Sprinklr is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer, QA to lead accessibility testing for web/mobile applications. This role involves conducting manual and automated accessibility tests using various tools, validating conformance against WCAG, Section 508, and other standards. The engineer will partner with design, development, and product teams to identify and document accessibility issues, drive awareness, and integrate accessibility checks into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring inclusive design and compliance.
Good To Have:- IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) or Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS).
- Experience with automated test frameworks integrating accessibility checks (e.g., Cypress + Axe, Selenium + Axe-core).
Must Have:- Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing on web/mobile applications.
- Validate conformance against WCAG 2.1/2.2, Section 508, and European Accessibility Act.
- Partner with designers, developers, and product managers to identify accessibility issues.
- Document accessibility bugs with reproducible steps, severity, and remediation.
- Drive accessibility awareness and process improvements across the engineering team.
- In-depth understanding of WCAG guidelines, ARIA roles, keyboard navigation, and semantic HTML.
- Proficiency with screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver) and a11y automation tools (Axe-core, Pa11y).
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and their impact on accessibility.
- Experience creating and maintaining accessibility defect reports.
- Excellent communication skills to advocate accessibility.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Jira/Zephyr for test management.
