Job Summary
Extreme's Cloud Operations team seeks a highly skilled Cloud Test Bed Engineer to manage and optimize cloud test beds for functional and performance testing. This role involves ensuring cloud environments are configured, automated, and optimized for end-to-end testing, validating core functionalities, and assessing system performance under heavy loads. Responsibilities include designing, managing, and optimizing cloud test beds in AWS, GCP, and Azure, collaborating with Development and QA teams, provisioning and automating environments using infrastructure-as-code tools, and ensuring test beds replicate production environments. The engineer will also automate setup/teardown, develop monitoring solutions, troubleshoot issues, analyze test results, and integrate performance and functional testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Must Have
- Design, manage, optimize cloud test beds (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Collaborate with Dev/QA on testing requirements
- Provision and automate environments (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Automate test environment setup/teardown
- Develop monitoring solutions for performance/functional tests
- Troubleshoot and resolve test environment issues
- Analyze functional and performance test results
- Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines
- BS in Computer Science or Engineering
- 13+ years in CloudOps/DevOps
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Strong Linux, networking, cloud security knowledge
- Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Proficiency with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Helm)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Grafana)
- Experience troubleshooting/optimizing cloud infrastructure for performance
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Good to Have
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
- Experience with functional testing tools (Selenium, TestNG)
- Experience with scalable microservices architectures
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems
- Experience with performance tuning in cloud environments
