As a process engineer within our repair team, you are responsible for analyzing, optimizing, and automating the processes that take place in our lab for electrical repairs. You work closely with technicians, quality managers, and the operations department to ensure that all repairs are carried out efficiently, with high quality, and according to safety standards.
Your tasks and responsibilities
You bring your technical expertise and experience in continuous improvement (CI) and automation to streamline processes, reduce costs, and shorten lead times. You act as a bridge between operational execution and strategic process development.
- Analyze and optimize existing work processes within the lab (electrical repairs).
- Implement improvement projects according to Lean or Six Sigma principles.
- Identify bottlenecks and develop solutions for higher efficiency and lower error margins.
- Design and implement automations (e.g., measurement stations, data capturing, workflow tools).
- Support the selection and implementation of new equipment or tooling.
- Draw up standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Monitor quality and safety standards within the lab.
- Report on the progress of improvement projects to management.
Your profile
- Bachelor/master Industrial Sciences – Electromechanics or equivalent by experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a production or lab environment, preferably with a focus on electrical or electronic repairs.
- Proven experience with Continuous Improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S…) is a plus.
- Practical knowledge of automation or digitalization projects (PLC, SCADA, IoT, scripting is a plus).
- Analytical, hands-on, and solution-oriented.
- Strong communication skills and fluent in collaborating with different teams.
- Language skills: Dutch (fluent), English (professional level).
