Saxo Bank Securities, Japan Operations team is responsible to either directly provide operation support to Saxo Bank Japan Clients or govern the global operation teams based out of India on all Back Office Operations supporting critical functions like Payments, Fund Segregation, Settlements, Corporate Actions, Reconciliation, Stock Transfer, Regulatory & Tax Reporting activities. The responsibilities of Core Operations department also extends to Product Governance, handling of market data as well as Accounts and Client Configuration.
About the job
As a Product Governance Officer in the Core Operations and Product Governance department, you will be directly responsible for managing the Product Governance process along with the Non-Financial Risk Manager (NFRM). You will work closely with the NFRM for the Product and Services Committee where all new products and services must be approved before the launch. As required, you will be in a position to liaise with APAC NFRM team as well as Global Product Governance team to gather information already available for the existing products and services or any new products or services being launched in the group.
In this role, you will be also directly responsible for ensuring all the products, instruments and services enabled for clients in Japan are the one authorized by local regulatory bodies as well as internal PSCO approvals. In case of any regulatory changes, new regulations, you will be key resource in the team, to own the Product Governance and work closely with NFRM, Local Compliance to ensure all the changes are documented, reviewed and approved in a timely manner to ensure regulatory compliance.
Along with Product Governance, you will also directly responsible for market data, account and client configuration. While supporting these critical responsibilities, you will be liaising with regional as well as global market data team to ensure that clients in Japan are authorized to view market data that must be available on the Trading Platform for the products and markets authorized for Japan clients. You will also be directly assessing Front Office systems to ensure accounts and client configuration for any new products and services as well as any changes to existing products and services, is in line with the Product Characteristics and Trading Conditions approved by the Product and Services Committee.
This role also extends as a data analyst, where you will be supporting Core Operations team as well as Local Mission Control team in analyzing data such as clients and account profiles, client onboarding, trades executed, open positions, traded volume, tax and regulatory reports as well as data to be analyzed for ongoing campaigns or any new campaigns to be planned under commercial execution. The role of data analyst will also extend in supporting data analysis for system and operational incidents.
Your Profile
As a Product Governance Officer and Data Analyst, you will be a highly organized and have strong in analytical , documentation and technical skills required to process the data to derive dataset and information necessary of Core Operations reporting requirements, system or operational incidents as well as information needed for analyzing performance of commercial execution initiatives or information required in defining new commercial initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities
As a Product Governance Officer, you will be directly responsible for product governance for the new and existing products as well as services – Define and document the product and service characteristics, conduct annual, event trigger based reviews of the existing products and services.
Liaise with Non-Financial Risk Manager for the approval of new products and services, in the Products and Services Committee, reviews and approval of existing products and services.
Be directly responsible for client account configuration – products and services enabled, as needed configuration and review of trading conditions.
Establish and maintain governance on how products and instruments are enabled or disabled for Japan clients
Be directly responsible and liaise with Global Market data team to ensure Japan clients can access market data access mandatory in line with products and instruments enabled for the client accounts. At the regular intervals, conduct reviews of market data access, products and instruments enabled for Japan clients. As necessary, instruct Global market data team based in India to add or remove any products and instruments being offered to clients in Japan.
Be responsible for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting data to derive meaningful insights and informed decision-making for Core Operations as well as Commercial Execution initiatives, campaigns and system incidents.
Qualification
A Bachelor’s degree is highly desired (Engineering or Science background preferred )
Prior experience of product governance or data analyst role with minimum 3 years of experience
Strong knowledge and hands on experience of relational data management system (RDBMS), SQL programming, VBA, statistics reporting
Prior hands on experience of handling live client data configuration will be a big plus
Familiarity of handling live databases including master data such as clients and accounts, as well as processing trades executed and open positions – fx, stocks and derivatives to derive operations and management report
JSDA Sales Representative Level 1, Level 2 certification will be a big plus
