Job Description

The Akadémiai Kiadó is looking for a Publishing Editor to manage and develop its English and Hungarian language journals. This role involves process organization and record-keeping tasks necessary for continuous publication, as well as providing high-level editorial support to scientific editorial boards.
Must have:
  • Ensuring the timely publication of managed journals
  • Liaising with editors-in-chief, editorial boards, authors, and domestic and international suppliers involved in manuscript preparation
  • Managing online manuscript submission and peer review systems
  • Handling contracts, verifying fulfillments and invoices
  • Checking manuscripts, proofs, and imprimatur
  • Preparing and interpreting online usage and scientometric analyses
  • Monitoring international publication trends
  • Higher education degree
  • Excellent spelling and stylistic knowledge
  • Negotiation-level English language proficiency
  • Excellent organizational, cooperation, and work coordination skills
  • Assertive communication
  • Proficient user computer knowledge
