Job Description

As a Product Owner, you will join a talented and professional development team specializing in knowledge management. This multidisciplinary team focuses on collecting, transforming, and enriching data. Projects involve defining and deploying automated processing chains to make data accessible. With data scientists' support, the team designs, trains, and integrates AI models, including Generative AI (GenAI) based on large language models (LLM), to enhance data analysis. AI and ML concepts are also used to increase analysis efficiency. You will define and prioritize product features, participate in functional and technical specification, manage the product backlog, collaborate with developers, contribute to AI/GenAI/ML solution design, supervise deliverable quality, communicate architectures, track product performance, and manage the release plan.

  • Monitor product performance, manage risks, and propose strategic adjustments.
  • Maintain the release delivery plan and present it to stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a software team leadership role, including 2 years in a technical context.
  • Professional experience with AI/ML solutions and data management services.
  • Experience in capturing user needs and business processes for technological solutions.
  • Experience in writing and communicating technical software development needs and tasks.
  • Good understanding of AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning concepts, and patterns like RAG.
  • Knowledge of LLM (GenAI) or Agentic AI frameworks (e.g., Langchain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex).
  • Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks (Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and prompt engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, IaC (Terraform, Ansible), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in Agile methods (Scrum, Kanban) and management tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Proficiency in French and English (oral and written).

Job Summary

As a Product Owner, you will join a talented and professional development team specializing in knowledge management. Our multidisciplinary team focuses on collecting, transforming, and enriching data. Our projects involve defining and deploying automated processing chains to make data accessible to users. With the support of our data scientists, the team designs, trains, and integrates artificial intelligence models, including generative AI (GenAI) based on large language models (LLM), to improve data analysis. We also use AI and machine learning (ML) concepts to increase analysis efficiency.

Essential Functions

As a Technical Product Owner, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Define and prioritize product features in line with the strategic vision and user needs.
  • Participate in functional and technical specification to ensure the feasibility and consistency of solutions.
  • Establish and maintain the product backlog, document user stories, and manage priorities based on functional and technical objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to clarify requirements and anticipate technical constraints.
  • Contribute to the design of AI, GenAI, and ML-based solutions by validating technological choices with the team.
  • Supervise the quality of deliverables and participate in functional tests to ensure compliance with needs.
  • Ensure communication of architectures, decisions, and processes to stakeholders.
  • Monitor product performance, manage risks, and propose strategic adjustments.
  • Maintain the release delivery plan and present it to stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a software team leadership role, including 2 years in a technical context (development or architecture).
  • Professional experience in a context of solutions using AI/ML and data management services (extraction, transformation, search).
  • Professional experience in capturing user needs and business processes to address them with technological solutions and a target architecture.
  • Experience in writing and communicating technical software development needs and tasks.
  • Good understanding of AI, generative AI, machine learning concepts, and patterns like RAG.
  • Knowledge of LLM (GenAI) or Agentic AI frameworks (e.g., Langchain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex).
  • Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks (Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and prompt engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, IaC (Terraform, Ansible), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • Excellent communication skills and transversal leadership.
  • Proficiency in Agile methods (Scrum, Kanban) and management tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Proficiency in French and English (oral and written).

This position requires a good knowledge of English for writing technical documents, to interact, support and/or provide services to international clients, employees and/or partners as well as foreign governmental authorities who do not speak French.

Physical Requirements

This position may require the employee to set up equipment and conduct field experiments in an outdoor environment.

Specific Job Requirements

Schedule: regular working hours.

Physical environment: mainly office work (either on company premises or teleworking), occasionally field work in an outdoor environment.

Travel: occasional, for field tests, participating in conferences and/or meetings with colleagues from other regions of the world (e.g., in Europe).

The reference Total Target Compensation (TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between

Total Target Cash (TTC) 88,613.33 - 154,981.67 CAD Annual
