Job Summary

TVH is seeking a Product Purchaser to manage an assigned commodity group, working under the guidance of senior team members. This role involves applying supply chain concepts and negotiation skills to identify cost savings and ensure fiscal benefits for TVH. Responsibilities include product development, quality and item management, supplier management, procurement support, and agreement management. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of the product range, experience with supplier relationships, and proficiency in relevant technical tools.

Must Have

  • Deliver short and long term projects supporting business strategy
  • Product development: sourcing, creating orders, evaluating opportunities, updating information
  • Quality management: analyzing results of samples, providing technical support
  • Item management: maintaining lifecycle, creating relations, assigning category IDs, updating technical information
  • Supplier management: registration, evaluation, problem resolution
  • Procurement support: searching for sellable items, creating purchase requisitions
  • Agreement management: creation, changes, review
  • Maintain and update technical information
  • In depth technical knowledge of the assigned product range
  • Able to read technical drawings and understand production processes
  • Experience with managing supplier relationships
  • Automotive technical experience
  • Technical proficiency in Parts Data, Oracle, Excel
  • Knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes and practices
  • Compliance knowledge of the assigned product group(s)

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

You’ll deliver short and long term projects that support the business strategy. This will involve:

  • Product development: sourcing, creating orders, evaluating opportunities, updating information
  • Quality management: analyzing results of the samples and providing technical support (e.g. to sales)
  • Item management: maintaining lifecycle, creating relations, assigning category IDs and updating technical information, directly support sales if needed (technical questions)
  • Supplier management: registration, evaluation and problem resolution
  • Procurement support: searching for sellable items, creating purchase requisitions
  • Agreement management: creation, changes and review
  • Maintain and update technical information
  • May also include: role of global product/supplier responsible

HOW TO SUCCEED / YOUR PROFILE

We’re looking for someone who can come up with simple solutions to complex problems. To join us you need:

  • In depth technical knowledge of the assigned product range
  • Able to read technical drawings and understand production processes
  • Experience with managing supplier relationships
  • Automotive technical experience
  • Rubber experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Technical proficiency; Parts Data, Oracle, Excel etc.
  • Knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes and practices
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compliance knowledge of the assigned product group(s)
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and requirements.
