Job Description

The Production Operator is responsible for ensuring safety standards are met by adhering to various quality and safety standards (V5000, TS16949, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and Nevada OHSAS18001) using QRQC methodology. They must understand safety instructions and PPE requirements, perform first-level maintenance and first-piece inspections, and maintain 5S rules. The operator needs to be flexible and understand multiskilling requirements, detect and address problems in safety, quality, and efficiency, and actively participate in improvement programs. They should also ensure workstation cleanliness and safety, communicate supply shortages, and participate in VPS workshops. The role involves lifting 20 to 50 pounds daily.

  • Perform first-level maintenance and inspections.
  • Maintain 5S rules for workplace organization.
  • Detect and address deviations from standards.
  • Communicate supply shortages to the team lead.

  • Responsible for understanding and to ensure safety standards are respected, adhering to V5000, TS16949, IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and Nevada OHSAS18001 standards using QRQC methodology (All functions),
  • Make sure that: before starting work they understand safety working instructions at station, PPE (personal protective equipment) requirements, Conducting first level of maintenance (PM’s) and first piece inspection at the start of the shift; and maintain 5S rules
  • Responsible to understand flexibility and multiskilling requirements in their APZ ( Autonomous Production Zones and to check display visual requirements are accurate.
  • Detects problems (deviations from standards) in safety, quality and efficiency.
  • In case a problem is detected, stops and applies the appropriate reactivity procedure.
  • Is involved in immediate containment actions.
  • Actively participate in the improvements proposal program;
  • Participate in 5 min meeting in APZ ( Autonomous Production Zones) .
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety of each workstation.
  • Communicate any supplies shortage to the team lead at the beginning, during and after shifts.
  • Involvement in APZ continuous improvement through participation in VPS workshops
  • Ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds on a daily basis
