Job Summary
The intern will work closely with the Project Manager to understand logistics in Valeo's production lines. They will gain practical experience by assisting in coordinating and managing the end-to-end supply chain process for specific projects. This includes tracking shipments, maintaining inventory, preparing reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of components and products. This internship offers exposure to real-world project management within the automotive industry, contributing to Valeo's operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Must Have
- Assist the Project Manager in monitoring and controlling the progress of shipments.
- Maintain accurate records of shipment schedules, deliveries, and receipts.
- Track inventory levels and identify discrepancies or shortages.
- Prepare regular reports on shipping and receiving activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
- Provide support during product launches.
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Through this internship, the student will gain exposure to real-world project management practices within the automotive industry while contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of Valeo's operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in monitoring and controlling the progress of shipments from suppliers to Valeo's facilities.
- Maintain accurate records of shipment schedules, deliveries, and receipts.
- Track inventory levels and identify discrepancies or shortages.
- Prepare regular reports on shipping and receiving activities for review by the Project Manager.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
- Provide support during product launches by ensuring timely delivery of components and products.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of automotive industry practices and standards would be advantageous.
