As an HSE Supervisor at APM Terminals, you will be a key person in strengthening the safety and occupational health culture at the terminal. The role involves coaching, guiding, and supporting managers and employees, acting as a clear communicator and sparring partner. You will drive risk assessments, root cause analyses, ensure compliance with HSE systems, and contribute to a strong safety culture through coaching and LEAN tools, including developing and delivering training.

Must Have

  • Practical experience with risk assessments, root cause analyses, and safety/occupational health work.
  • Clear and confident communicator, able to translate theory into practical action.
  • Outgoing, relations-oriented, and practical, capable of building trust.
  • Motivated to support the business and drive improvements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Fluent in both Danish and English, written and spoken.

What does an HSE Supervisor do with us?

As an HSE Supervisor, you are a key person in the daily work of strengthening the safety and occupational health culture at the terminal. You work closely with the HSE Manager and the organization with a clear operational focus, where you translate HSE strategy, legislation, and theory into practical solutions in everyday life. The role involves a high presence in the organization and responsibility for coaching, guiding, and supporting managers and employees, as well as acting as a clear communicator and natural sparring partner within occupational health and safety.

As an HSE Supervisor, you are responsible for:

  • Coaching and supporting managers and leaders in occupational health and safety matters and actively contributing to ongoing occupational health and safety work.
  • Driving and participating in risk assessments, root cause analyses, and other safety-related improvement initiatives with a focus on practical application.
  • Ensuring that HSE systems, processes, and documentation are updated, understood, and complied with locally in the organization.
  • Providing operational support to the organization in relation to compliance with applicable policies and procedures within occupational health and safety.
  • Being a visible and present HSE expert in operations and contributing to a strong safety culture through coaching and LEAN tools.
  • Helping to develop training material and conducting training in principles and processes within various areas.

We are looking for you who:

  • Have practical experience with risk assessments, root cause analyses, and work with safety and occupational health.
  • Are a clear and confident communicator who can translate rules and theory into practical action and engage the organization.
  • Are outgoing, relations-oriented, and practical with the ability to build trust in various contexts.
  • Are motivated by supporting the business and driving improvements.
  • Work effortlessly in Microsoft tools such as PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Communicate fluently in both Danish and English – orally as well as in writing.
