Job Summary

The QA Officer in Mehsana is responsible for all quality assurance activities in cold storage, ensuring optimal operations and high service quality. This includes maintaining food licenses, participating in audits, managing temperature records, and ensuring SOP compliance. The role involves direct customer interaction to align with SOPs, training warehouse staff, and handling customer complaints with effective root cause analysis. The officer will also contribute to QMS and PRP implementation, risk management, and business excellence initiatives.

Must Have

  • Ensure operations are optimized and warehousing service are delivered under the highest service quality.
  • Maintain food licenses.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Perform temperature recording, device calibration, validations, and mapping.
  • Ensure SOP compliance.
  • Handle customer complaints with effective root cause analysis.
  • Keep QMS documentation updated.
  • Participate in risk identification and mitigation.
  • Conduct QMS and PRP training.
  • Ensure effective pest control program.
  • Prepare quality manuals.
  • Assist in implementing business excellence projects.
  • Perform technical evaluation of vendors.
  • Implement FSMS and HACCP.
  • Lead all quality audits for the facility.
  • Develop overall SOPs.
  • Strong Quality, QMS, PRP knowledge.
  • Root cause analysis capability.
  • ISO manual and documentation understanding.
  • SOP preparation.
  • CAPA preparation and reporting.
  • Temperature monitoring devices.
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Understanding of customer operations.
  • B.E. Food Tech/ Science Graduate (microbiology/Biotech/Food Technology).
  • 3-4 years experience in Food manufacturing/handling (especially frozen food).
  • Preferably certification in ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 22000 implementation.

Job Description

Responsible for all quality assurance activities in cold storage and support to other functions for smooth operations of the cold store. Interact with customers directly to understand their SOP's and train warehouse workforce to carry out activities accordingly. Ensure site Licenses and compliance fulfillment.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:

Operational Management-

  • Ensure operations are optimized and warehousing service are delivered under the highest service quality possible in the area.
  • Maintenance of the food licenses.
  • Participation in internal and external audits.
  • Temperature recording, device calibration and validations.
  • Temperature Mapping in chambers to find Hot and Cold spot.
  • Ensure SOP compliance.
  • Ensure timely customer complaints handling with effective root cause analysis.
  • Keeping records and manual in the QMS documentation updated with revision in standards.
  • Participation in risk identification and mitigation plan.
  • Conducting QMS and PRP training.
  • Handling of government officials visiting facility.
  • Ensuring effective pest control program for site.
  • Prepare quality manuals for various category of products stored in the facility.
  • Assist in implementing various business excellence projects and initiatives at the site.
  • Technical evaluation of vendors.
  • FSMS, HACCP.

Client Relationship Management -

  • Client audits.
  • Product sampling.
  • Quality Dashboard.

You'll be accountable for:

  • Temperature records.
  • Addressing all complaints / queries within timelines as per escalation matrix.
  • Leading all quality audits for the facility.
  • Effective QMS and PRP implementation.
  • Overall SOP development.

Education Qualification & Experience:

  • B.E. Food Tech/ Science Graduate (microbiology/Biotech/Food Technology)
  • 3-4 Experience in Food manufacturing/handling (specially frozen food)
  • Preferably certification in ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 22000 implementation.
