Job Description

The Sr Program Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned programs and projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. This includes planning, execution and reporting through to the successful completion of programs and projects, whilst adhering to PHINIA objectives, vision and guidelines. The role works closely with all the functional areas and business clients to ensure programs and projects are delivered successfully to support the overall needs and business strategy.
Good To Have:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience in managing traditional and agile initiatives and exposure to multiple areas
Must Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years extensive experience of program management
  • Ability to determine and define program/project objectives, scope, deliverables, and milestones
  • Ability to prepare strategic input and go / no go informed decision making in project portfolio boards and steering committees
  • Skill in predicting and managing resources effectively
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and their interdependence
  • Proficiency in developing and managing detailed project schedules and work plans
  • Capability to manage and monitor progress against budget, planning, and quality specifications
  • Skill in providing consistent program/project updates to various stakeholders

JOB PURPOSE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Purpose

The Sr Program Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned programs and projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. This includes planning, execution and reporting through to the successful completion of programs and projects, whilst adhering to PHINIA objectives, vision and guidelines.

The role works closely with all the functional areas and business clients to ensure programs and projects are delivered successfully to support the overall needs and business strategy. As a key member of the team, the position reports directly to the Plant Manager.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Must have 7 years+ extensive experience of program management and/or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Experience in managing traditional and agile initiatives and exposure to multiple areas

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine and define program/project objectives, scope, deliverables, and milestones projects and assign project managers as appropriate to establish projects.
  • Prepare strategic input and go / no go informed decision making in project portfolio boards and steering committees and report the outcome to business stakeholders.
  • Predict resources are needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate multiple projects and their interdependence between other projects and programs in the environment.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules and work plans.
  • Manage and monitor the progress in relation to the program/projects budget, planning and quality specifications.
  • Provide program/project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Control the process of change with impact on the objective and scope of the program/project and amend the plans and achieve approval from stakeholders.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire program/project execution.
  • Manage program/project risks, develop contingency plans, and ensure risk management actions are included in the plans.
  • Identify risks and issues during program/project execution and initiate mitigation actions and monitor progress to successful completion.
  • Resolve any issues affecting the program/project and take remedial actions.
  • Analyze and manage program management effectiveness through relevant metrics, scorecards, and improvement actions.
  • Participates in the identification of emerging technologies and new capabilities that add value and align with plant strategy
  • Support other projects outside of infrastructure as required to meet the overall Information Technology strategy and requirements Ensure that systems, processes, and methodologies specified are followed and to ensure effective monitoring, control, and support of infrastructure services
