Project Architect – Commercial Design - Hybrid/Denver

Chord Design Studio is a nationally recognized architecture and interiors firm specializing in hospitality, residential, and mixed-use environments. They are seeking a detail-driven Project Architect with 8+ years of experience to lead technical aspects from early concept through construction. This role involves translating design intent into coordinated, buildable solutions, ensuring technical excellence, and anticipating issues. Must Have

• Develop clear, coordinated and technically sound drawings that reinforce design integrity
• Translate design direction into functional, code-compliant, buildable solutions
• Review and integrate feedback from Project Managers and Design Managers
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, civil, and specialty consultants
• Conduct internal QA/QC for accuracy, consistency, and rigorous documentation standards
• Support permit packages, construction documentation, RFIs, submittals, and ASIs
• Participate in site visits and assist with constructability issue resolution
• Provide technical mentorship to designers and Job Captains
• Maintain alignment with Project Managers and Senior PMs on priorities and deliverables

How you’ll spend your day:

• Developing clear, coordinated and technically sound drawings that reinforce design integrity

Qualifications

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture – licensure preferred; active pursuit encouraged
• 8+ years of architectural experience and a demonstrated passion for technical precision
• Strong understanding of building systems, constructability, detailing, and codes
• Advanced Revit proficiency — you know how to organize complex models with clarity
• Proven experience coordinating across multiple consultants and disciplines
• Clear communication style and disciplined documentation habits
• Ability to translate design intent into consistent, coordinated, buildable technical solutions
• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to risk identification and issue resolution
