Project Controller - Energy Storage

This position reports to the Director, Portfolio Finance Management and is responsible for managing and tracking all commercial aspects of a portfolio of BESS projects. This includes driving accounting compliance, ensuring adherence to commercial contract terms, executing financial and operational internal controls, driving and managing customer contract changes and supplier claims and maintaining operational excellence. The position requires interfacing with many internal stakeholders as well as with customers, suppliers, and outside contractors. This role requires a background in accounting & finance, including contract administration, and working with infrastructure and construction projects. As a Project Controller (Portfolio Finance Manager), you will be financially responsible for a portfolio of projects within the Americas region. You will work closely with project managers to provide timely transparency around project performance against budget and maintain monthly Estimates at Completion for Revenue, Cost, and Margin. You will ensure adherence to applicable accounting guidelines and commercial terms and conditions. You will also be responsible for highlighting associated risks, ensuring accurate project forecasts, incorporating known risks and opportunities, executing internal controls related to Order-to-Cash, driving to improve project performance through change orders and supplier claims, reviewing, verifying and processing project related transactions (purchase requisitions, invoices, etc.), tracking, evaluating and working to mitigate contract penalties such as performance guarantees and liquidated damages for delays, organizing project reviews throughout the life of each contract, reporting Non-conformance costs and helping to identify Solution Groups, managing construction subcontractors and other suppliers to maintain project delivery timeline and quality, understanding and managing sales, property, and personal tax requirements, and working to continuously improve project onboarding and execution processes.
