Job Description
DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
- Ensure all public restrooms are clean, smell fresh, and are stocked at all times.
- Maintain the cleanliness of all restrooms by checking each at least once every half hour during the work shift.
- Collect and stock bath towels from laundry, fold them carefully, and place them in the restrooms.
- Dust, wipe, and clean walls, doors, and tables as needed in the lobby area throughout the shift.
- Empty and clean trash cans in public areas.
- Familiarize yourself with all functions carried out in the hotel.
- Maintain furniture and equipment in serviceable condition and report any defects immediately.
- Report maintenance defects to the Housekeeping office immediately.
- Attend to guest inquiries and requirements efficiently, handle complaints quickly and with thorough follow-up.
- Follow key signing procedures and assume responsibility for assigned keys.
- Deliver all lost property and follow the correct lost and found procedure.
- Ensure all equipment and materials used are clean and in working order; any defects must be reported immediately.
- Assist co-workers in performing similar or related tasks as needed.
- Carry out any projects and assignments as directed by the Housekeeping Supervisor, Executive Housekeeper, Director of Operations.
- Attend any meetings or training sessions as needed.
- You will maintain a positive attitude and pay attention to detail throughout the shift.
- As an important part of a team, you will try to help colleagues who need assistance from both the department and other departments.
- You will remain calm during busy periods to perform work efficiently and ask for help when necessary.
- Any other reasonable tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager.
- We recognize that we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service. On occasion, we will ask each team member to perform various related tasks as needed, in order to provide exceptional customer service. You will control the night hours, days and/or overtime of the staff under your charge.
