About the Role
We are seeking a Publishing Assistant or a senior Publishing Assistant to support the Eastern Europe Extended Journals team.
The portfolio includes 35 Consultants Bureau hybrid and subscription journals, 4 fully Open Access journals, and 181 hybrid journals distributed in cooperation with Pleiades Publishing. Additionally, the Publishing Assistant will contribute to the Conference Acquisition Team program, which publishes applied science content in journals and books.
The Publishing Assistant is a wide-ranging role, essential to the smooth running of the portfolio. The role involves working across the team, responding to queries where needed, maintaining internal systems and processes, and supporting Publishers. It may also involve providing general administrative support to the wider Publishing team.
This is a temporary position available for six months from January 1st, 2026.
This is the perfect role for someone interested in starting a career in academic publishing and gaining an overview of the different roles and tasks within the business.
