Job Summary

As a QA Lead for Cyberpunk 2, you will lead and mentor a team of QA Analysts and Testers, driving quality assurance processes and culture. This strategic role involves owning and executing scalable QA strategies, collaborating with development teams in Poland and North America, and ensuring alignment with project goals. You will focus on building a high-performing team, managing their growth, and overseeing test planning, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement to deliver outstanding results for the studio's story-driven RPGs.

Must Have

  • Lead and mentor QA Analysts and Testers.

  • At least 5 years in a leadership or management role in software development.
  • Proven experience in QA leadership within game development (AAA/large-scale).
  • Deep understanding of game/product development lifecycles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience delivering data-driven reports with KPIs and metrics.
  • Experience translating strategic goals into operational plans.
  • Experience working on single player and multiplayer titles from pre-production to post-ship.

Job Description

As a QA Lead for Cyberpunk 2, you will be part of a multinational development team, driving alignment across content and technology teams. In this strategic leadership role, you will manage a team of QA Analysts and Testers, champion quality assurance processes and culture, and foster strong partnerships with the development team.

You will own and drive QA strategies in conjunction with a QA team in North America, reporting directly to the QA Manager for Cyberpunk 2. You will own and drive QA strategies that not only support development teams in Poland but can scale to the North American teams as well. As a people manager, you will focus on building a high-performing, engaged team that contributes to both individual and collective growth while upholding the studio’s vision, values, and quality goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead & Develop the QA Team: Manage and mentor QA Analysts and Testers, supporting their growth, performance, and career development.
  • Build and Shape the Team: Assess current team capabilities and drive recruitment, onboarding, and team composition to select and maintain the best-fit team for meeting quality goals and project demands.
  • Execute QA Strategy: Drive scalable QA strategies and processes for your Game Areas, ensuring alignment with project-wide goals and in collaboration with the North American team.
  • Executing Quality: Build and execute test strategy to ensure quality and efficiency in testing new systems, features, and infrastructure.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Game Area Directors and Production to align on quality expectations, priorities, and dependencies.
  • Monitor & Communicate Status: Empower QA Analysts to track progress, risks, and quality status; maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders.
  • Promote Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to QA pipelines and workflows; support change and adaptability within the team.
  • Ensure Quality & Risk Management: Oversee test planning, milestone verification, and proactive risk mitigation to support smooth delivery.
  • Monitor Project Quality Health: Regularly assess and report on the overall quality status of the project, using data-driven insights to support decision-making and highlight areas requiring attention.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years in a leadership or management role in software development with direct reports.
  • Proven experience in QA leadership within game development, preferably in AAA or large-scale projects.
  • Deep understanding of game/product development lifecycles and dependencies across content and technology.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to influence and align cross-functional teams.
  • Experience delivering reports using a data-driven approach of identifying key KPIs and metrics.
  • Experience in translating strategic goals into operational plans and individual objectives.
  • Experience working on both single player and multiplayer titles, preferably from pre-production to post-ship support.
  • Passionate about games, quality, and player experience.

Additional Information

Working Mode

This is a full time employment opportunity in Warsaw, Poland. It is a hybrid role where you are expected to be in-office at least 3 days a week with up to 2 days a week working from home. Direct management and career development of QA Analysts is an expectation.
