Job Description

Join a global team building industry-leading software for automotive and mobility design studios. This Quality Analyst role focuses on ensuring the quality of Alias and VRED product lines and new AI-powered capabilities. Responsibilities include collaborating with product management and engineering, developing and executing test plans, conducting manual and automated QA, identifying defects, and continuously improving testing processes. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in desktop software QA, strong analytical skills, and a passion for quality.
Must have:
  • Collaborate with product management, experience design, and engineering to ensure high quality standards.
  • Develop, execute, improve, and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Conduct manual and automated quality assurance.
  • Identify, track, and report software defects.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and practices.
  • Conduct functional and regression testing.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance role in desktop software development.
  • Experience with QA for geometric modelling and/or 3D visualisation desktop applications.
  • Familiarity with performance and load testing (manual and automated).
  • Strong understanding of QA disciplines and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Exceptional team player with experience in scrum teams.
  • Knowledge of automated testing tools for Desktop applications.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python or Perl).
  • Experience with automation frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Behave, Robot Framework, or similar).
  • Familiarity with AWS or other public clouds.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals, algorithms, and related concepts.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Alias, Autodesk VRED, or other computer-aided industrial design/3D visualisation software.
  • Familiarity with automotive design and visualisation.

The Automotive and Conceptual Design team is seeking an experienced Quality Analyst to join our passionate group of professional QA analysts. This position is an exciting opportunity to ensure the quality of our products and contribute to our goal of delivering exceptional customer experiences for the Alias and VRED product line and the recently announced AI-powered capabilities for automotive design studios. Job Title: Quality Analyst

Locations can be: Hannover, Germany; Darmstadt, Germany; Berlin, Germany

Hybrid: One to two days onsite in the office per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with product management, experience design, and engineering to ensure that products, services, and capabilities are designed and created with the highest quality standards.
  • Develop, execute, improve, and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts to provide comprehensive and practical testing of our deliverables.
  • Conduct manual and automated quality assurance to ensure our products meet business requirements and exceed customer expectations.
  • Identify, track and report software defects and work with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and practices to ensure that quality standards are met in the context of evolving complexity and interdependencies.
  • Conduct functional and regression testing to uncover defects that existing test cases may not cover.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or a related field.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in a Quality Assurance role, in a desktop software development environment, preferably on Windows and Linux
  • Demonstrable experience with quality assurance for geometric modelling and/or 3D visualisation desktop applications
  • Familiarity with performance and load testing, both manual and automated.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Assurance disciplines, designing tests based on user stories, and testing methodologies, including the authoring of functional test plans, regression testing, and performance/load testing scripts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Exceptional team player with experience working on a scrum team developing desktop products and/or cloud services; understands software and/or services architecture, development, and testing; understands Agile and Scaled Agile
  • Knowledge of automated testing tools for Desktop applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python or Perl).
  • Experience working with automation frameworks that scale, using tools like Cypress, Playwright, Behave, Robot Framework, or similar
  • Familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services) or other equivalent public clouds
  • Knowledge of AI/ML fundamentals, algorithms, and related concepts
  • Knowledge of Alias, VRED, or other computer-aided industrial design or 3D visualisation software is a plus
  • Familiarity with automotive design and visualisation is a plus
