Join the Autodesk Building Design team as a QA Analyst to delight customers with high-quality software solutions for sustainable building. You will work in a cross-functional agile team, focusing on the next generation of Autodesk Insight cloud service. Your role involves improving quality, stability, reliability, and usability of software deliverables, creating and executing test plans, analyzing results, and collaborating with product and engineering teams to resolve defects and support customers.
Must have:
  • Collaborate with product management, experience design, and engineering to ensure high quality standards.
  • Develop, execute, improve, and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Conduct manual and automated quality assurance.
  • Provide functional, performance, security, load, install, globalization/localization, scalability and resiliency testing.
  • Identify, track, and report software defects.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and practices.
  • Support production services in an on-call rotation.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related engineering field.
  • 1+ years of QA experience in software development or 2+ years in Building Design industry.
  • Knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Good to have:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of testing software applications.
  • Good understanding of internet and enterprise application technologies.
  • Experience with Revit and other Autodesk products in a professional capacity.

Position Overview

Do you have a passion for delighting customers with high quality software solutions? Are you passionate about sustainable building solutions? If so, we invite you to join the Autodesk Building Design team, the makers of Autodesk Revit. We’re seeking an accomplished and highly motivated QA Analyst who will work as part of a cross functional agile team.

Our team is focused on building the next generation of Autodesk Insight cloud service that empowers architects and engineers to design more energy-efficient buildings with advanced simulation engines and building performance analysis data integrated in Autodesk products and services such as Forma and Revit.

Your role will be to own and drive initiatives related to improving quality, stability, reliability, and usability of software deliverables. You will use tools and procedures for validating the quality of cloud services and desktop applications. You will be creating and executing test plans and analyzing test results with the objective of finding defects during the software development process. You will liaise with the larger Building QA organization and product support teams to partner in the success of customers using our software.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with product management, experience design, and engineering to ensure that products, services, and capabilities are designed and created with the highest quality standards
  • Develop, execute, improve, and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts to provide comprehensive and practical testing of our deliverables
  • Conduct manual and automated quality assurance to ensure our products meet business requirements and exceed customer expectations
  • Provide functional, performance, security, load, install, globalization/localization, scalability and resiliency testing as applicable
  • Identify, track and report software defects and work with cross-functional teams to resolve them
  • Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and practices to ensure that quality standards are met in the context of evolving complexity and interdependencies
  • Work closely with customers to support production services in an on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for service incidents

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, Sustainability, or Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field
  • 1+ years of proven experience in a Quality Assurance role, in a software development environment, preferably on heterogeneous (desktop, web applications) platforms or 2+ years of experience in the Building Design industry
  • Knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases and testing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Exceptional team player
  • Self-starter with willingness to learn our applications, technologies, and processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of testing software applications
  • Good understanding of internet and enterprise application technologies
  • Experience with Revit and other Autodesk products in a professional capacity
  • Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment
