Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer / Product Assurance professional to join our team and contribute to the industrialization and production of our atomic clock products. The role involves ensuring products comply with specified quality standards across all production areas, implementing the company's quality system, and integrating key performance indicators. Key responsibilities include investigating quality issues, identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, improving productivity, developing work instructions, leading quality data review meetings, supporting data collection systems, and reviewing deviations and rework processes. The position also involves supervising Quality Inspectors and undertaking additional projects.
Must have:
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent
  • 5-8 years of Quality Engineering experience
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 standards
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Expertise in root cause and trend analysis
  • Ability to interpret technical diagrams and datasheets
  • Sound decision-making capabilities
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of cleanroom operations
  • Proficiency in English and French
  • Experience with reliability engineering methods (FMEA, 8D, Lean)
  • Understanding of vacuum technologies
  • Familiarity with metrology, time and frequency systems, or GNSS synchronization

We are looking for a talented Quality Engineer / Product Assurance to join our team in Saint-Blaise and contribute to the industrialization and production of our atomic clock products.

Role Summary

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products are manufactured in compliance with specified quality standards across all production areas. This role implements the company’s quality system for products and services, integrating key performance indicators and control measures throughout company processes and infrastructure. Additionally, the position coordinates hygiene, safety, and environmental initiatives as part of industrial risk management.
 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

  • Assist in executing solutions to improve productivity, reliability, and efficiency.

  • Develop and update work instructions to accurately document manufacturing and quality processes.

  • Lead Quality Data Review meetings.

  • Support daily operations of data collection systems, including scanning and labeling in manufacturing areas.

  • Review and approve deviations, waivers, and rework processes.

  • Supervise daily activities of Quality Inspectors.

  • Undertake additional projects and assignments as required to meet evolving departmental and company needs.
     

Knowledge, skills and experience required

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, quality, or GED equivalent.

  • 5 to 8 years of Quality Engineering experience, preferably in space, defense, or high-reliability electronics/micromechanics sectors.

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 standards.

  • Strong communication, documentation, and reporting abilities.

  • Expertise in root cause and trend analysis.

  • Sound decision-making capabilities.

  • Familiarity with the tools and systems required for high-quality production.

  • Ability to interpret BOMs, electronic PCB, and mechanical assembly diagrams.

  • Skilled in reading manufacturers’ datasheets and assessing component suitability.
     

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

  • Knowledge of cleanroom operations (ISO 14644) and contamination control.

  • Proficiency in English and French.

  • Experience with reliability engineering methods (FMEA, 8D, Lean).

  • Understanding of vacuum technologies, including pumping and baking stations.

  • Familiarity with metrology, time and frequency systems, or GNSS synchronization.

Principales missions et responsabilités

  • Enquêter sur les problèmes de qualité, identifier les causes profondes et mettre en œuvre des actions correctives.

  • Aider à la mise en œuvre de solutions pour améliorer la productivité, la fiabilité et l’efficacité.

  • Développer et mettre à jour les instructions de travail pour documenter avec précision les processus de fabrication et de qualité.

  • Diriger les réunions de revue des données qualité.

  • Soutenir les opérations quotidiennes des systèmes de collecte de données, y compris le scan et l’étiquetage dans les zones de production.

  • Examiner et approuver les dérogations, les dispenses et les processus de retouche.

  • Superviser les activités quotidiennes des inspecteurs qualité.

  • Entreprendre des projets et missions supplémentaires selon les besoins évolutifs du département et de l’entreprise.
     

Connaissances, compétences et expérience requises

  • Diplôme de Master ou de Bachelor dans un domaine technique, qualité ou équivalent GED.

  • 5 à 8 ans d’expérience en ingénierie qualité, de préférence dans les secteurs spatial, défense ou électronique/micromécanique à haute fiabilité.

  • Connaissance des normes ISO 9001/AS9100.

  • Excellentes capacités de communication, de documentation et de reporting.

  • Expertise en analyse des causes racines et des tendances.

  • Capacité à prendre des décisions éclairées.

  • Maîtrise des outils et systèmes nécessaires à une production de haute qualité.

  • Capacité à interpréter les nomenclatures (BOM), les circuits imprimés électroniques (PCB) et les schémas d’assemblage mécaniques.

  • Compétence dans la lecture des fiches techniques des fabricants et l’évaluation de la pertinence des composants.

Qualifications préférées (optionnel)

  • Connaissance des opérations en salle blanche (ISO 14644) et du contrôle de la contamination.

  • Maîtrise de l’anglais et du français.

  • Expérience des méthodes d’ingénierie de fiabilité (FMEA, 8D, Lean).

  • Compréhension des technologies du vide, y compris les stations de pompage et de cuisson.

  • Familiarité avec la métrologie, les systèmes de temps et de fréquence, ou la synchronisation GNSS.
