Avi Load Balancer, delivers software-defined application load balancing services with global server load balancing, Intelligent Web Application Firewall(iWAF), advanced analytics and monitoring, intelligent automation and elasticity with multi-cloud data fabrics. It also integrates seamlessly with API driven automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible and Terraform. It completes and enables enterprises’ digital transformation. Job Role and Responsibilities:

You will work in a startup-like fast-paced environment, designing and developing features for the control and management plane of the Avi Load Balancer product. You enjoy working on building highly scalable and performant distributed systems. You will be part of a dynamic and passionate team, which likes to challenge status-quo and doesn't shy away from experimentation. You will develop deep expertise in several key modules of the product and lead the efforts to push the envelope further. The role is based at the Broadcom Palo Alto office and you will be required to work on-site all days of the week. You will be part of a larger geographically distributed team across Palo Alto, USA and Bangalore, India.

As a Member of Technical Staff, you will:

• Gather requirements from stakeholders for various features - Customer & Internal asks
• Architect, design, prototype and iterate on possible solutions based on the requirements
• Write crisp and clear design and functional specifications
• Lead the implementation efforts with a team of engineers to build the solution
• Work on improving performance and efficiency
• Perform peer code reviews and develop automated unit and functional tests
• Take full ownership of iterative design and development activities by adapting to customer feedback
• Handle issues found in unit testing, system testing and customer deployments

Qualifications:

• Technical skills: Go (Expert), Python/C++ (Intermediate), secure coding, data structures and algorithms
• Experience working with distributed systems, postgresql, redis, envoy, gRPC
• Domain knowledge: L2-L7 networking, Linux OS, concurrent programming, messaging & queueing systems
• Education/Experience - Required: BS in Engineering/Computer Science with 12+ years of related work experience / MS in Engineering/Computer Science with 10+ years of related work experience / PHD in Engineering/Computer Science with 7+ years of related work experience
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Compensation and Benefits:

The annual base salary range for this position is $141,300 - $226,000

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
