Motorola Solutions is a global leader in mission-critical communications and analytics, creating technologies that serve as a lifeline for customers. This Regional Sales Director role, reporting to the Senior Sales Director - Southeast North America, is a key position for a dynamic individual passionate about video security and access control. The role involves leading a Channel Sales Executive team in North Carolina and South Carolina, driving new customer acquisition, and closing sales orders.

Must Have:
  • Provide service leadership to the regional team helping them be successful
  • Drive, coach and mentor the regional team on prospecting for net new customers
  • Create, nurture and respond to sales opportunities with regional team members and help close sales orders
  • Establish quarterly and annual sales objectives for all territories within the Region
  • Promote and sell Motorola products and services through direct customer contact within the assigned geographic territory
  • Conduct sales calls, schedule “local” promotional work and regularly track sales activities with all channel and end user opportunities using Salesforce.com lead and project tracking software database
  • Supervise and manage the Regional Sales team for successful performance of job duties as detailed in the respective job description
  • Oversee and manage the sale of products and services within the specified territory
  • Provide feedback from end-user customer requirements to engineering and operations departments to help implement product improvements and new product releases
  • 4+ years of experience in Sales, Video or Physical Security
  • 1+ years of leadership experience
  • Proven leadership ability to influence, develop and empower employees to achieve objectives, with a team-first approach
  • Proven team player with success collaborating with multiple departments while maintaining tact and diplomacy that lead to successful results
  • Strong understanding of our go-to-market strategy and sales philosophy with proven funnel development through aggressive prospecting is required
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to speak towards our products and solutions
  • Technical background to include networking protocols, network equipment configuration
  • Proven record of achievement in delivering sales results and developing collaborative relationships
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Time management skills are required, and candidates must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional presentation skills required
  • Ability to solve complex problems which may require unique solutions which are used across geographies, industries, etc.
  • Seeking candidates based in the territory
  • Approximately 50-75% of regional travel is required

Reporting to the Senior Sales Director - Southeast North America, the Regional Sales Director for Channel Sales Executives holds a key position that requires a dynamic individual who is knowledgeable and passionate about video security and access control. This individual will be a strong, positive leader who is highly customer-focused, efficient, and results-oriented.

This role will be responsible for leading the Channel Sales Executive team covering North Carolina and South Carolina. This role will be responsible, but not limited to, the following:

  • Provide service leadership to the regional team helping them be successful
  • Drive, coach and mentor the regional team on prospecting for net new customers
  • Create, nurture and respond to sales opportunities with regional team members and help close sales orders
  • Establish quarterly and annual sales objectives for all territories within the Region in coordination with the Senior Sales Director and Vice President of Sales – North America
  • Promote and sell Motorola products and services through direct customer contact within the assigned geographic territory
  • Conduct sales calls, schedule “local” promotional work and regularly with discipline track sales activities with all channel and end user opportunities using Salesforce.com lead and project tracking software database
  • Supervise and manage the Regional Sales team for successful performance of job duties as detailed in the respective job description
  • Oversee and manage the sale of products and services within the specified territory
  • Provide feedback from end-user customer requirements to engineering and operations departments to help implement product improvements and new product releases

Specific Knowledge & Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in one of the following: Sales, Video or Physical Security
  • 1+ years of leadership experience
