Job Description

This role involves monitoring real-time trading and post-trade market activity across equity and options markets to ensure compliance and detect anomalies. Responsibilities include evaluating orders, quotations, and transactions for potential market manipulation and rule adherence, as well as completing basic surveillance and interventions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Finance, analytical skills for parameter settings, and the ability to document procedures and alert dispositions. Strong communication and customer service skills are a plus.
Must have:

Job Details

Nasdaq’s regulatory functions include listings, surveillance, investigations and enforcement, regulatory rule filings and regulatory technology. This framework benefits investors and listed companies trading on Nasdaq exchanges and strengthens our regulatory program in turn enhances the integrity and transparency of the markets, protects investors and develops the next generation of regulatory technologies and processes.

What will you be doing?

You will monitor real-time trading and aggregated post-trade market activity across equity and options markets to ensure appropriateness.

You will evaluate all aspects of orders, quotations and transactions, typically having a specific focus on potential market manipulation, transaction appropriateness, and rule compliance.

  • Complete basic surveillance of real time trading and post trade analysis.
  • Complete basic interventions in trading, e.g. trade breaks and suspensions, with guidance and oversight by supervisor.
  • Assist with monitoring markets to detect anomalies, review electronically generated alerts, and address market participant inquires.

What are we looking for?

  • Ability to provide analytics insight to determine optimal parameter settings based on trading activities.
  • Write procedures outlining a process or recurring activity, and write explanations for the disposition of alerts researched.
  • Education Required: Bachelor Degree in Business/Finance or a related field.

This is a full-time permanent position located in Vilnius. Nasdaq offers a hybrid workplace to find a balance between working from home and collaborating in the office, therefore it's required to come into the office at least 3 days per week.

Individuals applying for or occupying this position must have no previous unspent convictions for criminal offences under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania, with the exception of offences solely related to minor road traffic violations.

Monthly base salary 2150-2500 EUR gross. The final offer will be based on your experience and skills.

About the Vilnius office

Our Vilnius office is in the modern K29 business center, easily accessed via bus, but we also offer bike storage. Our working space offers an appealing, ergonomic environment, kitchen spaces, and an in-house library. The building hosts a canteen and vending machine as well as restaurants and shops within walking distance.
