Researcher V

Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re looking to hire a Researcher V for a fully remote opportunity (U.S. only) with a leading global e-commerce company. This is a 3-month contract role.

In this position, you’ll join the UX Research (SEEK) team to support survey analytics and behavioral measurement efforts that directly inform product and design decisions. The ideal candidate will bring advanced technical skills, deep analytical thinking, and a passion for connecting data to real user experiences.

Researcher V Responsibilities:

• Partner with the SEEK team to run in-house feedback survey platforms used across product teams.
• Validate survey metrics (CSAT, PSAT, CES) and determine which predict future customer behavior.
• Build and maintain dashboards (Tableau required) combining survey and behavioral/log data.
• Work with large data sets directly using SQL, Python and/or R.
• Provide actionable insights that connect survey results with user behavior and satisfaction trends.
• Communicate recommendations clearly to stakeholders at multiple levels.

Researcher V Qualifications:

• Prior experience at a large-scale website/platform analyzing CX or feedback survey data alongside behavioral or log data.
• Proficiency in SQL + Python and/or R.
• Strong Tableau skills (functional expertise required).
• Familiarity with survey metrics such as CSAT, PSAT, CES.
• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a quantitative field (preferred).
• Must have experience performing this type of work in a large company setting.
• Ability to explain what metrics matter and why, with clarity and impact.
• Experience with ML/AI techniques (preferred).
• Knowledge of JTBD (Jobs to Be Done) or Arousal/Valence scoring (preferred).
• E-commerce or retail analytics background (preferred).
