Job Description

Onward Search is seeking an Account Executive II for a 1-year hybrid contract role in Mettawa, IL. This position is within a global in-house marketing agency, focusing on the Commercial Marketing team. The Account Executive will serve as the primary liaison between brand partners and the internal agency, ensuring alignment across strategy, creative development, compliance, and delivery in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Good To Have:
  • Pharmaceutical marketing experience
  • Digital marketing background, including familiarity with online tools, apps, and digital solutions
Must Have:
  • Serve as the main point of contact between brand teams and the in-house agency
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop creative briefs and recommend promotional tactics aligned with brand goals
  • Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring budgets, timelines, and compliance standards are met
  • Facilitate clear communication across teams, issuing contact reports as needed
  • Support financial processes including annual forecasting and monthly reconciliations
  • Prioritize workload and manage multiple products, tasks, and client domains in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1–3 years of account management experience within an ad agency or in-house agency setting
  • Strong understanding of the agency workflow process
  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to balance big-picture strategy and tactical details

Account Executive II Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact between brand teams and the in-house agency.

  • Facilitate clear communication across teams, issuing contact reports as needed.

Account Executive II Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s degree or equivalent project experience preferred).
  • 1–3 years of account management experience within an ad agency or in-house agency setting.
  • Strong understanding of the agency workflow process (initiation, approvals, production, archiving).
  • Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to balance big-picture strategy and tactical details.
  • Pharmaceutical marketing experience (preferred).
  • Digital marketing background, including familiarity with online tools, apps, and digital solutions (preferred).
