We’re hiring a Business Analyst, Cloud Ops for a remote opportunity with our client.
In this role, you will join the Cloud FinOps division as a pivotal contributor responsible for aligning business and engineering objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product engineering, infrastructure, and architecture, to help drive strategic cloud initiatives, optimize costs, and manage vendor relationships.

Business Analyst, Cloud Ops Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement frameworks to enhance communication between engineering teams and cloud providers.
- Translate complex engineering requirements into actionable, trackable tasks for cloud providers.
- Foster and maintain strong partnerships with cloud providers.
- Construct financial models to forecast cloud expenditures and develop reporting and alerting tools.
- Propose and assist in the implementation of cost optimization strategies across engineering teams.
- Adapt to the dynamic nature of FinOps work, guiding engineering teams through rapid changes.
Business Analyst, Cloud Ops Qualifications:
- Over 4 years of experience in FinOps, with strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Proven ability to work directly with engineers and bridge the gap between technical teams and leadership.
- Proficiency in Looker, GCP, Google Suite, and Slack; experience with AWS or other cloud providers is also valuable.
- Expertise in recommending data-driven communication frameworks and translating qualitative factors into quantitative models.
- Experience in technology vendor management and a deep understanding of cloud technologies and financials.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently in uncertain environments.
- Exceptional collaboration skills, including strong written and verbal communication, relationship-building, and influencing without authority.
