Job Description
As an Engineering Program Manager supporting the Wireless Systems & Compliance Engineering team, you will apply your Program/Project management skills and have significant responsibility for driving multiple RF test-related projects that are essential to the timely, successful release of Apple products. You will ensure that Apple products meet RF performance specifications and stay in sync with relevant government and industry regulations. Testing is performed with a range of niche RF test equipment and setups in various environments, including local Bay Area, San Diego, and worldwide. This is an individual contributor role supporting programs from new wireless platform validation to new product integration, process improvement initiatives, and competitive analysis.
Must have:
- Lead multiple parallel projects.
- Collaborate with RF test engineers and technicians.
- Coordinate and drive build-readiness reviews.
- Manage specification reviews and sign-off.
- Coordinate regulatory testing within product MP timelines.
- Work with factory teams to enable RF testing.
- Attend technical sessions with suppliers/design partners.
- Attend and drive collaboration with multi-functional teams.
- Present to management in weekly meetings.
- Prepare issue/bug reports.

As an Engineering Program Manager supporting the Wireless Systems & Compliance Engineering team, you will apply your Program / Project management skills and have significant responsibility for driving multiple RF test-related projects that are essential to timely, successful release of Apple products. The teams that the EPM will support have responsibility for ensuring that Apple products meet RF performance specifications and stay in sync with relevant government and industry regulations. To ensure RF compliance, testing is performed with a range of niche RF test equipment and setups, including conducted RF test stations, anechoic and semi-anechoic chambers as well as custom crafted setups in indoor and outdoor environments. Testing is performed in the local Bay Area, San Diego as well as in other locations worldwide. The test setups include instrument and robotics automation, as needed. This is an individual contributor role. The successful candidate may support a variety of programs ranging from new wireless platform validation to new product integration, process improvement initiatives and competitive analysis.
- Lead multiple parallel projects. - Collaborate closely with RF test engineers and technicians to develop plans for compliance and conformance testing of Apple products including iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch among others. - Coordinate and drive build-readiness reviews. - Manage specification reviews and the spec sign off process. - Talk to System EPMs to coordinate regulatory testing within the timeline for product MP release. - Work closely with factory teams to enable RF testing in development and mass production. - Attend and drive technical sessions with suppliers/design partners to track & follow up issues/customer concerns. - Attend and drive collaboration and co-ordination sessions with multi-functional team members from SW/FW/HW to track feature enablement. - Present to management in weekly multi-functional meetings to align on project progress. - Prepare issue/bug reports to present to system level teams, multi-functional teams and management.
