Job Description

The Sales Executive will primarily focus on developing new business and maintaining existing customers within their region or strategic business unit to drive new sales. They will utilize Buckman’s smart digital technologies and CRM programs to foster business and customer relationships, and provide technical support to team members as needed. This role is crucial for diversifying the region's customer base and actively pursuing MPC generation sales projects, emphasizing knowledge sharing and team strengthening.

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or Technical Diploma.
  • Background in Pulp & Paper, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Biology.
  • Proven sales record and/or related experience/training.
  • Successful selling record, preferably in chemical sales.
  • Demonstrated understanding of business/finance and terminology.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
  • French language proficiency (minimum).
Good to have:
  • Pulp and Paper industry experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial) or life sciences (biology, chemistry, etc.).
  • Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of paper machine operations, wet end chemistry, pulp mill operations.
  • Solid understanding of smart digital solutions and ability to identify customer opportunities.
  • English as a second language.

Position Summary

The Sales Executives will focus primarily on developing new business while maintaining existing customers in their region or strategic business unit to drive new sales. Utilize Buckman’s unique smart digital technologies and customer relationship management programs to grow business and customer relationships. Help to technically support team members as needed. This position is critical to diversifying the customer base of the region while actively focused on MPC generation sales projects. Coaching the personnel around them is a very important task as we strive for knowledge sharing with people who can make their whole team stronger.

Main Success Metrics

  • MPC generation at new customer accounts
  • MPC metrics in KPM tracked quarterly
  • Safety Leader
  • Successful trial/business conversions
  • New accounts/ programs gained in KPMs, tracked quarterly
  • Highly involved with sales funnel planning and tracking with RSM or Strategic Account Leader

Minimum Requirements to Apply

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or Technical Diploma from four-year university or three-year college.
  • Pulp & Paper, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Biology. Pulp & Paper Degree preferred.
  • Proven sales record and or years related experience and/or training.
  • Successful selling record, preferably in chemical sales. Specific training in pulp and paper science is desirable.
  • Demonstrated understanding of business/finance and terminology desirable.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
