Job Summary
The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for driving competitive advantage by managing supplier relationships and optimizing material purchase costs for Buckman Brasil and the Global Strategy. Key responsibilities include reducing purchasing costs through strategic negotiations, planning regional strategies, supporting innovation, managing risk assessments, and overseeing supplier performance. The role aims to generate an estimated saving of USD 4 million.
Must Have
- Reduce the cost of purchasing materials through strategic negotiations
- Plan and execute regional strategies, following market dynamics and technological changes to optimize Buckman purchases
- Enable and support the execution of the strategic and sourcing process
- Lead and support regional and global negotiations focused on improving Total Operating Cost and COGS
- Proactively work with Business Units on projects to support innovation and cost optimization
- Support Business Units with marketing information for Bids, prices, and negotiations
- Manage risk assessments for key sources and suppliers
- Manage Buckman's suppliers' performance and relationship
- Manage SRM processes with strategic suppliers
- Supply new items and support development projects in conjunction with R&D
- Coordinate the development of alternative raw materials and rationalization
- Strong ability to build relationships with suppliers and internal areas of the company
- Strong trading skills
- Chemical or Chemical Engineer degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Chemical Segment
- Fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish
- Experience in Project Management
- Solid experience in the implementation and maintenance of purchasing processes
- Good communication skills
- Experience with SRM

- Knowledge about ERP systems (SAP desired)

Position Summary
Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for driving competitive advantage by managing a strong relationship with current or potential suppliers by proactively optimizing material purchase costs to support Buckman Brasil and the Global Strategy:
- Reduced the cost of purchasing materials through strategic negotiations
- Planning / Execution of regional strategies, following market dynamics, technological changes and other relevant factors, in order to optimize the cost of Buckman purchases.
- Enable and support the execution of the strategic and sourcing process.
- Leading/Supporting regional and global negotiations focused on improving our Total Operating Cost and COGS (cost of goods sold).
- Proactively work with BUs on projects to support innovation and cost optimization
- Support BUs with marketing information to support Bids, prices and negotiations
- Management of risk assessments for key sources and suppliers
- Management of Buckman's suppliers' performance and relationship.
- Management of SRM processes with strategic suppliers
- Supply of new items and support to development projects in conjunction with R&D
- Coordination of the development of alternative raw materials and rationalization
