Job Description

The Field Equipment Assistant is responsible for the maintenance, support, installation, startup, and commissioning of automated and remotely controlled chemical dosing equipment. This role ensures the safety and effectiveness of Buckman's applications for clients in Latin America, coordinating third parties, adhering to safety policies, and training clients on equipment operation. The position requires 90% travel and is 100% in-person.

Must Have:

Ensure equipment aligns with schematic drawings for installation.
Install equipment according to Buckman's safety policies.
Coordinate third parties involved in equipment installation.
Meet installation deadlines set with sales and clients.
Maintain installation costs within budget.
Document all startup and commissioning steps.
Train clients on equipment and system operation.
Visit clients for Buckman dosing system maintenance.
Respond to emergency sales calls promptly.
Coordinate and plan maintenance with third parties.
Evaluate third-party work for correctness.
Audit equipment post-maintenance.
Follow all equipment maintenance procedures.
Degree in Electrical, Chemical, Automation, or Mechanical Engineering.
2-3 years of experience in the field.
Basic SAP knowledge.
Experience with on-site equipment installation.
Minimum 2 years experience in dosing system maintenance.
Knowledge of IoT and Digital Systems.
Knowledge of process control systems/PLC.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Advanced Excel and Office tools.
Good communication and influencing skills.
Computer skills (MS Office, Business Intelligence Software).

Mission of the Role

Responsible for the maintenance, support, installation, startup, and commissioning of automated and remotely controlled chemical dosing equipment to ensure the safety and effectiveness of Buckman's applications for its clients in Latin America.

Main Responsibilities:

Equipment Installation

Ensure that the equipment to be installed complies with the schematic drawings provided.
Install equipment in accordance with Buckman's safety policies.
Coordinate any third parties involved in equipment installation.
Meet installation deadlines defined jointly with sales and the client.
Keep installation costs within budget.
Responsible for drawing, flowcharts, and technical material to support applications.

Equipment Startup and Commissioning

Obey all client SHE requirements when working on equipment startup and commissioning.
Document all startup and commissioning steps and communicate them clearly to the client and Buckman's sales team.
Obey all procedures in the equipment startup and commissioning manual.
Responsible for training clients on the operation of installed equipment and systems.
Responsible for preparing the equipment operation manual and delivering it to the client.
Responsible for visiting clients to audit operating equipment.
Responsible for making follow-up visits to clients and third parties when Buckman systems are installed.
