Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate Director of Business Development to join our growing team. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for growing the sales of our SaaS solution, while playing a key role in managing and expanding a portfolio of existing customers, primarily in the public and parapublic sector. You will contribute directly to the development of new markets, the consolidation of lasting relationships with our customers and the creation of an exceptional customer experience. Your mission will be to develop new opportunities, support our clients throughout their journey with DECIMAL, and ensure a high level of satisfaction through a consultative and strategic approach. This role is ideal for someone who wants to work in a growing SME, contribute to a recognized SaaS product and play a central role in DECIMAL's success with the public and parapublic sector.
Must Have
- Identify, prospect, and qualify new public/parapublic sector clients
- Develop sales for existing and future clients
- Contribute to growth strategies for target markets
- Maintain CRM data quality and update rigorously
- Produce accurate sales forecasts
- Follow up with current clients for adoption and satisfaction
- Act as strategic contact for key accounts
- Collaborate with internal teams for client experience
- 5-10 years B2B business development experience (SaaS/tech)
- Experience with public/parapublic sector clients
- Account management and long-term relationship development
- Understand and explain value-added technology solutions
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Comfortable with long, structured sales cycles (RFP)
- CRM proficiency
- Rigor, organization, and discipline in commercial follow-up
- Bilingual (French/English) with strong French fluency
Good to Have
- Experience with financial, budgetary, or performance solutions (ERP, CPM, BI)
- Knowledge of public and broader public sector decision-making cycles

Your responsibilities
In this key role within a DECIMAL company, you will be responsible for developing the sales of our SaaS solution to the public and parapublic sector, while managing a portfolio of existing customers. Your responsibilities include:
Business Development
- Identify, prospect and qualify new customers in the public and parapublic sector.
- Develop sales to existing and future customers, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs.
- Contribute to the development and execution of growth strategies for our target markets.
- Ensure the rigorous updating of the CRM and the quality of the data.
- Produce or contribute to accurate sales forecasts.
Account management and customer relationship management
- Ensure regular follow-up of current customers in order to support their adoption, satisfaction and expansion.
- Act as a strategic point of contact for certain key accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams (implementation, support, product) to ensure an optimal customer experience.
Marketing
- Collaborate in the development of key messages, positioning and marketing tools to support sales.
- Participate in the creation of communication content (presentations, case studies, LinkedIn messages, newsletters, etc.).
- Contribute to the planning of events, conferences and trade shows to increase DECIMAL's visibility.
- Identify market trends and customer needs in order to fuel marketing campaigns and product evolution.
Strategic Engagement
- Occasionally participate in the management committee to share market intelligence and contribute to strategic decisions.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of sales processes and business practices.
- Contribute to the management and animation of strategic partners.
External representation
- Represent the company at trade shows, seminars, conferences or industry events, sometimes outside of regular or regional hours.
- To increase DECIMAL's visibility in the public sector ecosystem.
Qualifications sought
Experience and training
- 5 to 10 years of experience in B2B business development, ideally in a SaaS, technology, or software solutions context.
- Significant experience with clients in the public and parapublic sectors.
- Experience in account management and long-term relationship development.
- Relevant training in administration, marketing, finance or other related field.
Key Competencies
- Strong ability to understand and explain value-added technology solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage all opportunities and work on several files simultaneously.
- Comfortable with long and structured sales cycles (RFP, RFP process, approval committees).
- Proficiency in a CRM: Salesforce is an important asset.
- Rigor, organization and discipline in commercial follow-up.
