Job Description

The Securities Operations Specialist will join the Clearing House operations team in Vilnius, supporting financial market participants with trading and clearing activities. This role involves working in a dynamic team focused on central counterparty clearing for various derivative instruments, including equity, index, and fixed income products. Responsibilities include post-trade activities, customer support, client training, managing derivative trades and positions, and handling regulatory reporting to EU regulators.
Must have:
  • Proactively support and collaborate with Members on daily production and testing activities
  • Work proactively with Members on trade and position handling, invoicing, transfers, and reports
  • Support lifecycles of commodity, equity, index, and fixed income products
  • Improve processes and services by identifying areas and implementing changes
  • Develop extensive knowledge in derivatives markets products and trading/clearing cycle
  • Provide expertise and product knowledge for complex client queries
  • Participate in or lead new business change projects within clearing area
  • Degree in Business/Finance or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • Work experience within operations, preferably in finance or banking
  • Understanding of different types of securities and how trading/clearing/settlement is conducted
  • Understanding of the securities market and role of clearing house
  • Ability to take ownership and work independently
  • Ability to work closely with team members and collaborators in a service-minded manner

Job Details

We are looking for an experienced Specialist/Sr. Analyst to join leading Clearing House operations team in our Vilnius office. As a Derivatives Clearing and Regulatory Reporting Specialist/sr. Analyst, you will be working in a dynamic team supporting financial market participants with their trading and clearing activities.

Clearing offers central counterparty clearing for commodities and derivative instruments that covers products in equity and index derivatives as well as fixed income on Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish and Danish instruments. The team performs variety of post trade activities and focuses on providing customer support, continuous client training and education, handling of derivative trades and positions as well manages regulatory reporting activities towards EU regulators.

Your responsibilities:

  • Proactively support and collaborate with Members in regard to their daily production and testing activities;
  • Work proactively with Members on trade and position handling matters, invoicing, position transfers, reports and other activities
  • Support the lifecycles of commodity, equity, index and fixed income
  • Improve processes and services by identifying improvement areas and implement changes with impact on own area
  • Develop and build extensive knowledge in derivatives markets products as well as trading/clearing cycle
  • Provide expertise and product knowledge working with more complex issues related to client queries across variety of business areas
  • Participate in or lead new business change projects within the broader clearing area, such as new derivative products releases or market infrastructure upgrades/changes

Requirements:

  • Degree in Business/Finance or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
  • Some work experience within operations, preferably within finance or banking
  • Understanding of different types of securities and how trading and/or clearing and settlement is conducted
  • Some understanding of the securities market and role of clearing house
  • Experience with Regulatory Reporting activities is an advantage
  • Ability to take ownership and work independently, as well as close together with team members and other collaborators, in a service-minded manner
