As a Senior Manager of Analytics supporting Apex Legends, you will analyze player behavior data, conduct experiments, and provide insights to make the game more fun for players. Reporting to the Director of Analytics, you will oversee a team of analysts, working with Game Designers, Product Managers, and Studio Leadership to have an impact on the economy, gameplay, and progression systems of one of the world's biggest shooter franchises.
Hybrid or on-site work required in any of these EA office locations: Los Angeles, Vancouver, BC, Kirkland/Seattle, Redwood City, or Madison, WI.
Responsibilities:
Lead a team of analysts in analyzing player behavior data and providing insights on game features, along with your own contributions as an Individual Contributor.
Collaborate with Game Designers, Product Managers, and Analysts to optimize the economy, first-time user experience, progression systems, in-game events, and retention strategies in Apex Legends.
Conduct A/B tests and causal analysis to evaluate the impact of different strategies.
Develop presentations, statistical models, and dashboards that summarize insights, working with partners to define success metrics and democratizing access to insights.
Model and simulate complex in-game gameplay systems, both in-development and post-launch.
Collaborate with Data Engineers & Data Architects to build data structures enabling scalable analysis.
Qualifications:
7+ years of professional experience analyzing large datasets, visualizing information, and informing company strategy. Preferably in the gaming space.
Management experience, with at least two years overseeing a team of data professionals.
Bachelor or Master's degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or related discipline).
In-depth knowledge of SQL, with experience writing queries for complex data sets to extract insights.
Proficiency in statistical analysis and data visualization using tools like Python, R, Looker, Tableau, etc..
Experience with game design principles, retention strategies, and monetization strategies. Passion for gaming and creating exceptional player experiences.
Experience creating & delivering presentations that convey nuanced analytic insights to senior leadership.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $126,000 - $176,300 CAD
* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento) * $161,100 - $239,700 USD
* Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane) * $142,900 - $230,000 USD
