Job Description

Fool's Theory, a Polish game development company known for 'Seven: The Days Long Gone' and 'The Thaumaturge', is seeking a Senior Animator to join their team for a project in cooperation with CD PROJEKT RED. The role involves collaborating with design, art, and narrative teams to create believable character and creature animations, working with motion capture data, and implementing assets into Unreal Engine 5.
Good To Have:
  • Rigging experience/knowledge
  • Scripting (MEL/Python) experience
  • Ability to independently plan your own work
Must Have:
  • Collaborate with the design, art, and narrative teams to create believable character and creature animations
  • Create expressive and character-driven animations for humans and creatures that enhance the game experience
  • Work with motion capture data
  • Implement created assets into Unreal Engine 5
  • Perform iterative work in order to improve their quality
  • Provide feedback on the work of the animation team
  • Maintain animation pipeline
  • Research new technical solutions
  • Mentor the less experienced members of the team
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in a similar position
  • Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, both human and creature
  • Proficient in Autodesk Maya
  • Familiarity with Autodesk MotionBuilder
  • Experience with Unreal Engine 5
  • Good sense of characters, anatomy, movement dynamics, forces and masses
  • Experience with engine implementation
  • Keeping up with technological nuances in the field of animation
  • Ability to create animations assets consistent with the artistic vision and quality of the project
  • Fluent English
  • Ability to clearly provide constructive feedback
  • Good communication skills and eagerness to work in group
  • Problem-solving oriented
