As a Senior Automation and Design Test Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and execution of automated tests for Apple products, specifically Siri. You will also manage and mentor a team of engineers and vendors, ensuring consistent and high-quality test practices. Your responsibilities include establishing automation strategies, developing scalable test frameworks, influencing architectural decisions, and driving end-to-end integration. You will identify and resolve issues, contribute to post-mortem discussions, and communicate with stakeholders across multiple teams and time zones. The role emphasizes a big-picture mindset to ensure high-quality product delivery.

Job Details

In this critical role, you will lead the design, development, execution, and stabilization of automated tests for Apple products, specifically Siri. You will also manage and mentor a team of engineers and vendors across multiple locations, ensuring consistent and high-quality test practices. Your focus will be on delivering top-tier quality engineering support to help ship world-class products to Apple customers. You'll work closely with Product Engineering teams to establish robust automation strategies and scalable test frameworks. From the early stages of the development cycle, you will engage cross-functionally to influence architectural decisions, drive end-to-end integration efforts, and assess user impact—always advocating for quality with a big-picture mindset. You'll ensure automated tests meet high standards, and that system designs support simplicity and testability. This role requires a deep dive into existing systems to identify root causes of issues and uncover opportunities to enhance reliability and performance. You'll contribute to post-mortem discussions for key services, providing strategic input to prevent future issues. Strong communication skills are essential, as you’ll regularly update stakeholders, triage issues, coordinate bug fixes, and collaborate across multiple time zones and teams.
