Senior Backend Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build features and services for highly scalable and reliable frontend and backend systems. The role involves translating product documents into high-quality code, writing test automations, performing code reviews, and leading multiple subsystems through their entire life cycle, including development, testing, deployment, observability, and monitoring. This position requires ensuring the platform runs efficiently 24/7.

Must Have

• Build features and services within highly scalable and reliable frontend and/or backend systems.
• Translate product and develop documents into clean, high-quality, well-tested, and maintainable production code.
• Write test automations and practice continuous integration.
• Perform detailed code reviews for immediate team members.
• Lead all aspects of multiple subsystems within a larger domain.
• Lead engineering support, release, and on-call responsibilities for a 24/7 site.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining scalable systems.
• Proficient understanding of frontend and/or backend technologies.
• Expertise in continuous integration and test automation.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

• Build features and services within highly scalable and reliable frontend and/or backend systems in a distributed system context.
• Translate product and develop documents into clean, high-quality, well-tested, and maintainable production code autonomously.
• Write test automations and practice continuous integration.
• Perform detailed code reviews for immediate team members.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation to support software applications.
• Implement evidence-centered composition, making features testable and ensuring high quality and improved velocity in continuous delivery.
• Lead all aspects of multiple subsystems within a larger domain, building their entire life cycle including development, testing, deployment, observability, and monitoring.
• Propose and assess various invention choices, offering estimates for each and accomplishing tasks autonomously while meeting deadlines and achievements.
• Communicate assumptions effectively and seek clarification from collaborators to ensure alignment across all domains.
• Lead engineering support, release, and on-call responsibilities for an "always-on" 24/7 site, ensuring our platform runs efficiently!
