This position is a key member of our Total Rewards team, with a primary focus on the design, administration, and communication of our comprehensive benefits programs in North America.

This role encompasses end-to-end ownership of our benefits programs, from the operational execution of data management and vendor file feeds to the strategic design and communication of our offerings. While your core responsibilities will be centered on North America, your expertise will be valued in supporting our benefits initiatives across our global locations as we scale.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced benefits professional to make a significant impact on the well-being of our employees and contribute to our employer of choice value proposition. You will be a cross-functional strategic partner, responsible for not only the day-to-day excellence of our programs but also for leading complex projects and ensuring our benefits are competitive, compliant, and aligned with our company's culture and objectives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the design and implementation of benefits programs in the U.S. and Canada, ensuring they are innovative, competitive, and aligned with industry trends and our company's strategic goals.
  • Stay current on market trends and best practices, providing proactive recommendations for program enhancements and new offerings.
  • Partner with our external consultants and brokers to analyze and benchmark our benefits programs to ensure we remain competitive in the market.
  • Oversee the end-to-end administration of all U.S. and Canadian benefits programs, including health and welfare, retirement (401k, GRSP), leave of absence, and wellness programs.
  • Manage the U.S. annual open enrollment process, from planning and communication to system configuration and post-enrollment audits.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of benefits data, including managing carrier file feeds, reconciling invoices, and conducting regular audits.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving complex and escalated employee benefits issues.
  • Ensure all benefits programs are administered in compliance with applicable laws and regulations in the U.S. and Canada (e.g., ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, PIPA).
  • Oversee compliance audits and required filings, working with internal and external partners to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage relationships with our benefits vendors, brokers, and carriers to ensure high-quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Lead vendor contract negotiations and renewals, holding partners accountable for performance and service level agreements.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy to educate and engage employees in their benefits.
  • Create and deliver clear and compelling benefits materials, presentations, and training programs.

What You Bring:

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in benefits administration and strategy, with a strong focus on North American benefits programs.
  • Proven track record of successful project management and leading large-scale benefits initiatives.
  • Expert knowledge of benefits programs, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and benefits administration platforms (Workday experience is a strong plus).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex benefits information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
