Techland, a major Polish video game company with over 30 years of experience, is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager. This role is crucial for driving global growth through strategic partnerships, platform relations, and new commercial opportunities. The manager will identify, assess, and secure partnerships, lead negotiations, manage agreements, track market trends, and align business development with publishing leadership to ensure Techland's games reach the right audiences on the strongest possible terms.

Must Have

  • Identify, assess, and secure strategic partnerships for the studio.
  • Lead negotiations and manage agreements with global partners.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Legal to structure deals and ensure compliance.
  • Track global market trends and emerging business models.
  • Align business development efforts with Publishing leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across the partner ecosystem.
  • Support studio strategy and long-term revenue planning.
  • Oversee post-deal execution.
  • Develop and enhance internal evaluation frameworks.
  • Represent Techland externally at industry events.
  • 8+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial management within gaming, entertainment, or technology industries.
  • Proven success negotiating and closing complex partnership agreements.
  • Strong financial acumen, including deal modeling, ROI analysis, and performance tracking.
  • Excellent communication, persuasion, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Deep understanding of the digital distribution ecosystem, platform economics, and emerging business models.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with creative, legal, and financial teams.
  • Very good command of English.

Job Description

The Senior Business Development Manager drives Techland’s global growth through high-impact partnerships, platform relations, and new commercial opportunities. Positioned at the crossroads of creativity, commerce, and long-term strategy, this role ensures Techland’s games reach the right audiences through the right partners - on the strongest possible terms.

Your daily tasks:

  • Identifying, assessing, and securing strategic partnerships for the studio (including platform, distribution, co-marketing, and technology opportunities) that advance Techland’s commercial goals.
  • Leading negotiations and managing agreements with global partners, from first-party platforms to regional publishers and digital distributors.
  • Collaborating with Finance and Legal to structure deals, model financial impact, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Tracking global market trends and emerging business models to uncover new avenues for growth, monetization, and technological innovation.
  • Aligning business development efforts with Publishing leadership, supporting portfolio planning and go-to-market strategy.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships across the partner ecosystem, serving as a credible advocate for Techland’s interests.
  • Supporting studio strategy and long-term revenue planning with insights into diversification opportunities.
  • Overseeing post-deal execution, ensuring commitments, deliverables, and co-marketing plans are met.
  • Developing and enhancing internal evaluation frameworks to prioritize high-ROI opportunities and guide executive decision-making.
  • Representing Techland externally at industry events, conferences, and partner meetings, serving as a credible and persuasive ambassador for the brand.
  • Contributing to the cultural transformation of Techland’s publishing, establishing business development as a proactive, intelligence-led function that fuels growth and innovation.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or commercial management within the gaming, entertainment, or technology industries.
  • Proven success negotiating and closing complex partnership agreements with global partners.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience with deal modeling, ROI analysis, and performance tracking.
