Job Description

As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will be responsible for performing security assessments and participating in architecture design reviews. You will coordinate cross-team initiatives to enhance the security posture of critical infrastructure components. Additionally, you will design and implement scalable guardrails using a Policy-as-Code approach, manage security tools for multi-cloud environments, and assist in incident response activities, leveraging your domain-specific knowledge. This role involves building scalable cloud infrastructure and collaborating with various teams to ensure the security and reliability of environments.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of cloud environment experience (GCP and/or Azure)
  • Experience with containerized workloads (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Ability to provide actionable remediation steps from security advisories
  • Ability to develop and deploy tools and automation (Python or Go)
  • Strong background with CI/CD pipelines and security-related tooling
  • Good command of English for effective communication

Our Cloud Security Team enables Egnyte to safely build scalable cloud infrastructure. We act as a stable counterpart, cooperating closely with Production Engineering & SRE Teams to ensure security & reliability of our environments

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  Perform security assessments and take part in architecture design reviews

  Coordinate long running cross-team initiatives, aimed at improving security posture of critical infrastructure components

  Design & implement scalable guardrails, utilizing a Policy-as-Code approach

  Be in charge of security tools used to secure Egnyte’s multi-cloud environments

  Aid in incident response activities, providing domain specific knowledge

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  3+ years of experience working in a cloud environment (GCP and/or Azure)

   Experience working with containerized workloads (eg. Kubernetes)

  Ability to digest security advisories and provide actionable remediation steps

  Ability to develop and deploy your own tools and automation (preferably in Python or Go)

  Strong background with CI/CD pipelines and security-related tooling

  Good command of English that allows you to effectively communicate and perform your tasks (B2/C1+)
