Job Description
Technicon Design is seeking a Senior Designer CMF for a client in Sweden. The role involves shaping sustainable CMF palettes and delivering complete CMF solutions with detailed specifications. Responsibilities include producing creative design solutions, developing sustainable CMF concepts translated into physical prototypes, building 2D and 3D patterns, conducting research and benchmarking, creating CMF definition documents, preparing presentations for stakeholders, attending design reviews, and representing CMF in project meetings. The role also involves collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, R&D, Project, and Marketing teams, and contributing to the CMF community through non-project assignments and strategy workshops.
Good To Have:
- Work related to sustainability and research is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Blender, Substance, Unreal, Rhino, and Grasshopper.
Must Have:
- Min. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or Fine Arts.
- 5-10 years experience in industrial or transportation design.
- Deep knowledge of design and CMF development processes.
- Strong communicator with good presentation skills (verbal and visual).
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite and VRED.
- Fluent in English.
Technicon Design are looking for a Senior Designer CMF for our client in Sweden starting as soon as possible
As a Senior Designer CMF, you are contributing to shaping the future sustainable CMF palate for the client's brand.
You will be responsible for delivering complete CMF solutions and detailed specifications for assigned projects.
What you will do:
-Produce creative and detailed design solutions fulfilling complex technical criteria working closely with other design disciplines.
-Develop sustainable CMF concepts, which are translated into physical solutions and prototypes in cooperation with suppliers and in-house trim/PaintShop.
-Strong focus on building patterns, both 2D and 3D for various application areas.
-Conduct benchmarking and research, having a fact-based approach.
-Create Colour, Material, Finish definition documents, and safeguard CMF releases linked to design gateways and property plans.
-Prepare physical and digital presentations. Be able to present and attend weekly design reviews with our Chinese stakeholders and Project teams.
-Attend project and engineering meetings, representing CMF for your assigned project.
-Work closely and interact with both internal as well external stakeholders.
-Liaise with R&D, Project, and Marketing teams.
-Part of CMF community doing non-project assignments, and creative contributions to workshops and CMF strategies.
Qualifications and skills required for the role:
-Min. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, or Fine Arts.
-At least 5-10 years’ experience in industrial or transportation design. Work-related to sustainability and research is an advantage.
-Deep knowledge of design process and methodology as well as CMF development process.
-Strong communicator with good presentation skills, both verbally and visually.
-Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite and VRED with the ability to visualize and communicate
ideas effectively in 2D and 3D. Other software like Blender, Substance, Unreal, Rhino, and Grasshopper is also valuable.
-Fluent in English. Knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage
