As a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst at Publicis Groupe, you will support financial and commercial operations through accurate analysis, insights, and reporting. Must Have

  • Support financial and commercial operations with analysis and reporting.

  • Prepare client profitability reports and simulations.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Develop fee proposals, commercial agreements, and pitch strategies.
  • Ensure client contracts and billing follow internal SOPs.
  • Monitor client fees, contract compliance, and commercial performance.
  • Maintain accuracy and control over pricing, scopes, and revenue.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate with clients, auditors, and overseas offices.
  • Assess financial risk for new initiatives.
  • Support internal and client audits.
  • Implement and uphold commercial SOPs and best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes.
  • 2-3 years experience in finance, audit, accounting, or commercial analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in financial reporting, reconciliations, and data interpretation.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage shifting priorities.

Good to Have

  • Background in audit (Big 4 or similar) is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge in financial systems, contract management, and commercial processes is an advantage.

Overview

As a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst, you will support the financial and commercial operations of Publicis Groupe by delivering accurate analysis, insights, and reporting that guide strategic decision-making. You will collaborate closely with the Commercial Finance team, Business Leads, F&A, FP&A, and Shared Services to ensure strong financial controls, operational efficiency, and commercial excellence across client accounts.

This role combines financial analysis, commercial partnership, risk assessment, and support in strategic pitches and fee negotiations. You are expected to contribute to business performance improvement, maintain high-quality financial reporting, and play an active role in strengthening commercial processes and compliance within the agency.

Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Performs timesheet reconciliation, resource tracking, and project time monitoring.
  • Prepares client-level profitability reports and ad hoc profitability simulations.
  • Supports monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conducts financial reviews to identify variances, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Commercial Management

  • Partners with the Country Associate Commercial Finance Director in developing fee proposals, commercial agreements, and pitch strategies.
  • Ensures client commercials, contracts, and billing structures follow internal SOPs.
  • Monitors client fees, contract compliance, and commercial performance across accounts.
  • Drives necessary actions to maintain accuracy and control over pricing, scopes, and revenue.

Client & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Works closely with business leaders, finance teams, and cross-functional departments to support decision-making.
  • Coordinates with clients, auditors, and overseas offices for audit requirements and financial queries.
  • Builds strong working relationships with internal teams to improve financial workflows and operational alignment.

Risk Management & Process Improvement

  • Assesses financial risk for new initiatives, pitches, and client engagements.
  • Supports internal and client audits, ensuring documentation, controls, and reports are complete.
  • Helps implement and uphold commercial SOPs and best practices across the organization.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting accuracy.

Ad-Hoc Responsibilities

  • Assists with client-related and business unit-related reports as needed.
  • Supports broader commercial finance initiatives driven by the Country ACFD.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in finance, audit, accounting, or commercial analysis.
  • Background in audit (Big 4 or similar) is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Proficient in financial reporting, reconciliations, and interpreting data for decision-making.
  • Effective communicator, able to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Knowledge in financial systems, contract management, and commercial processes is an advantage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities.
