Job Description

As a LAC Reward Manager, you will support multiple client groups, partnering with Senior People Partners and business leadership. This role requires an experienced rewards professional adept at navigating a highly matrixed environment, developing innovative solutions, and assessing program effectiveness. You will analyze data, formulate recommendations, and implement reward programs. Reporting to the Marsh & Mercer LAC Rewards Leader, you will contribute to a global Rewards Center of Excellence and participate in cross-company projects, enhancing your visibility and impact.
Must have:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in compensation consulting for HR and business lines.
  • Advise HR and business leaders on LAC compensation, including sales incentives.
  • Navigate Workday HR system and benchmarking tools like BetterComp for reports.
  • Prepare advanced compensation analysis and interpret complex reports.
  • Manage compensation initiatives: variable plan design, salary structure reviews, market analysis, year-end planning.
  • Establish project objectives, plans, timelines, and resources, engaging stakeholders.
  • Partner with Finance for forecasting and year-end budget modeling.
  • Provide market intelligence on competitive landscape, trends, and practices.

As a LAC Reward Manager, you'll support multiple client groups in partnership with the Senior People Partners and business leadership.

You'll be a well-rounded, experienced rewards professional who thrives in working in a highly matrixed environment. You'll have the ability to partner with HR and business leaders to develop innovative and scalable solutions aligned with business needs to enhance and grow the business. You'll provide insights and assess the effectiveness and quality of plans, programs, and processes. You'll analyze data and formulate recommendations, as well as implement and maintain programs.

In this role, you'll report to the Marsh & Mercer LAC Rewards Leader and be part of a global Rewards Center of Excellence. You'll participate in projects across Marsh McLennan, increasing your visibility and impact.

We will count on you to:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert by providing senior level compensation consulting support to HR and lines of business.
  • Partner with and advise HR and business leaders on LAC compensation, including some insight into sales incentives.
  • Navigate our HR system on a Workday platform and benchmarking tools such as BetterComp and generate relevant reports to support compensation analysis.
  • Prepare advanced compensation analysis including interpretation of complex reports, ensuring accuracy of results and recommendations.
  • Manage various compensation-based initiatives and projects that have a significant impact on the organization, including variable compensation plan design, salary structure reviews, market analysis, and year-end compensation planning.
  • Establish project objectives and develop project plans, timelines and resources, engaging stakeholders across functions and at all levels.
  • Partner with Finance teams to assist with forecasting and year-end budget modeling.
  • Provide insights and market intelligence on competitive landscape, trends, and practices.

What we would like you to have:

  • Subject matter expertise and minimum of 5 years professional work experience in Compensation, demonstrated client management skills, a broad knowledge of compensation issues including market trends, regulatory changes, and best practices as well as some benefits experience.
  • Since it is a regional position, experience in at least one market other than the candidate's home country or the one they are currently working in is required.
  • Experience in leading rewards projects, with the ability to build consensus and manage expectations across a wide range of stakeholders, coordinate multiple work streams or tasks, and prioritize work.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • English proficiency
