Job Description

The Senior Cloud Engineer will design, build, and maintain cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) to support data science and analytics workloads. Responsibilities include integrating data pipelines, machine learning models, and analytics applications on cloud infrastructure. Other responsibilities include developing data engineering solutions for data ingestion, processing, storage, and retrieval, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security. Optimizing cloud resource utilization and costs through efficient design and scaling of data platforms. The role also involves developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for data science and analytics applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The Engineer will stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies, participating in agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data engineering experience
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
  • Understanding of data storage solutions like relational and NoSQL databases
  • Strong background in data science, including machine learning
  • Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Strong understanding of security and compliance in cloud computing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex issues
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
Good to have:
  • Experience with cloud-based data science platforms (AWS Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Azure Machine Learning)
  • Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks
  • Certification in cloud computing (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect)

Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer with a strong background in Data Science and analytics to join our team. As a Cloud Engineer - Data Science, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based data platforms that support our data science and analytics initiatives. You will work closely with our cloud products team to ensure seamless integration of data pipelines, machine learning models, and analytics applications on cloud infrastructure. Your expertise in cloud computing, data engineering, and data science will enable us to drive business growth through data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) to support data science and analytics workloads

  • Collaborate with data scientists to integrate data pipelines, machine learning models, and analytics applications on cloud infrastructure

  • Develop and implement data engineering solutions to support data ingestion, processing, storage, and retrieval

  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all cloud-based data platforms

  • Optimize cloud resource utilization and costs through efficient design and scaling of data platforms

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data science and analytics applications

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data platforms with other systems and applications

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in cloud computing, data engineering, and data science

  • Participate in agile development methodologies and DevOps practices

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud computing (AWS, GCP, Azure) and data engineering

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala

  • Strong understanding of data storage solutions such as relational databases, NoSQL databases, and data warehousing

  • Strong background in data science, including experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, and data visualization

  • Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)

  • Strong understanding of security and compliance in cloud computing

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with cloud-based data science platforms such as AWS Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, or Azure Machine Learning

  • Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks
