Job Summary
Crytek is seeking a Senior Development Manager for their CRYENGINE team in their Frankfurt studio. This role involves driving the delivery of one or more sub-teams, ensuring alignment with CRYENGINE's overall strategy and milestones. Responsibilities include planning, tracking, and improving delivery, implementing the project’s operational model, and fostering an environment of collaboration and excellence across disciplines.
Must Have
- Drive delivery of assigned sub-team goals.
- Develop detailed delivery plans, schedules, and workflows.
- Coordinate dependencies and collaboration with other sub-teams.
- Implement and maintain operational model at sub-team level.
- Collaborate on resource and talent planning.

- 5+ years experience as Senior Project Manager, Producer, or Development Manager in game development.
- Background in technical production or programming.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Kanban, SAFe, Waterfall).
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify risks and drive solutions proactively.
- Experience with resource planning, scheduling, and task prioritization.
- Fluent English skills and strong interpersonal communication abilities.
- Willingness to relocate to Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

As Senior Development Manager, you will drive the delivery of one or more sub teams, ensuring alignment with CRYENGINE's overall strategy and milestones. You will be responsible for planning, tracking, and improving delivery, implementing the project’s operational model, and fostering an environment of collaboration and excellence across disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the delivery of your assigned sub team’s goals, ensuring alignment with project-wide milestones and priorities.
- Develop detailed delivery plans, schedules, and workflows to meet objectives on time and within budget.
- Coordinate dependencies and collaboration with other sub teams to ensure smooth integration of work.
- Implement and maintain the operational model at the sub team level, ensuring consistent processes and efficient workflows.
- Collaborate with the Development Director on resource and talent planning to meet delivery needs.
- Foster a healthy and motivated team culture aligned with Crytek’s values and CRYENGINE’s technical vision.
- Anticipate and manage risks, proactively resolving bottlenecks and delivery issues.
- Ensure deliverables meet agreed quality standards and integrate seamlessly into the project.
- Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and reports.
- Promote operational excellence by identifying process improvements and empowering team members to perform at their best.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Project Manager, Senior Producer, or Senior Development Manager in game development.
- Background in technical production or programming.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects in technical development environment.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Kanban, SAFe, Waterfall) and their practical application at team level.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and align cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across disciplines and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to identify risks and drive solutions proactively.
- Experience with resource planning, scheduling, and task prioritization.
- Fluent English skills and strong interpersonal communication abilities.
